Maybe this release was also a good experiment to see what the fans really like regarding to the next album (in a couple of years probably ). |

Good point. Even If I'm in Canada right now I'm a Southern-hemispherian, so I should've had that in mind.
That aside, I've been listening to this song on repeat for the past two days. And there's no intention from my part on trying to reverse that trend. _________________ *I'm steppin' out, so cut me loose...* |

I still don't understand why they left their best work off the album (Smile) or left it only on bonus albums (TWW). Isn't the fan himself/herself the best one to judge what song is good and what not? |

What jamiroquai do you like?
Emss I just want to express myself:
THE BEST SONG RELEASED IN YEARS??
ok ok is a very good song! I love it!
but the best?
C'mon guys We are fans of jamiroquai or what?
this make me thing that a lot of you people only like just the old school jamiroquai......
I don't know... Am I the only one who thinks that FeelSG and Smile are fantastic good songs at the same level (but extremely different) ???
please answer me
PD: It's not my intention to be spoilsport. I really really like Smile! just feel bad for all the great work that the band make in RDLS. Sounds unfair to me! _________________ Got my soul education! |

I think "Best song in Years" means it has an overwhelming "yes" response.
Not one negative comment (amazing).
It just seems to have that vibe that everybody was craving.
Like being at a late nite party, and somebody brings out the Doritoes.
And it's exactly what you were craving.
(and I don't mean that as an insult) |

No no no, it was not my intention to be insulting or to underrate RDLS or other newer songs. Not at all. If you know me, you should know that I absolutely love the "old" stuff, but at the same time am a big supporter of their "evolution" and the new stuff they have done in the last years. RDLS is a brilliant album for me. And will always stay. But with SMILE they have absolutely hit some buttons in me that makes me having tears in my eyes while listening. That's something special.
So, when I say "best song in years" I mean that even if RDLS is such a brilliant album, Smile is EVEN better. I am not saying "ah, finally a good song at last"...
When RDLS is an album with an "A"... Smile is an "A+" with special award!
Hope this clears is up. _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.

(but as I can see that the title could be misunderstood I have changed it to a more neutral one, which isn't evaluative.) _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.

the video is not available at least here in Germany, for copyright reasons.
Can you describe what it is, Janluka? _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.

Paul Turner's comment from Funkin:

| Hi everyone, thanks so much for your positive vibes. We are all happy you like the track. It was recorded on the first night at Hook End, the same night it was conceived from an idea by Jay and Matt. Recorded once with Jay doing a guide before he completed his lyrics soon afterwards. It was a lovely chilled vibe while we played it too. Same night we did RDLS and Hurtin'. Yes it's the same producers but without record company input over mix! And now you know why I was disappointed that some of my favourite tracks didn't make the company list. Lots of love XP |

I thought the whole idea of scampering from Sony was to get rid of record companies sticking their nose in!? I guess it must go on everywhere...

...and Barbra Streisand!
But nah, it's an awesome cover dude. It's the one I'm using - just saturated the shit out of it to brighten it up a little... Hope you don't mind.
