but the best?
C'mon guys We are fans of jamiroquai or what?
this make me thing that a lot of you people only like just the old school jamiroquai......
I don't know... Am I the only one who thinks that FeelSG and Smile are fantastic good songs at the same level (but extremely different) ???
please answer me
PD: It's not my intention to be spoilsport. I really really like Smile! just feel bad for all the great work that the band make in RDLS. Sounds unfair to me! |
Hi, I support evolution too, but the true can't be hidden, this song is great. much better than Feels good if you ask me. |

I´ve gotta say is extremely awesome. i ´ve been listening this song since it came up . why was not in the rdls ??? . now , the best song?? i dunno , but , so far , one of the most beutiful romantic song from the band. and one more thing. why these kind of jamiroquai songs that did not appear in an album are greater than the ones that were selected ?? the same happened with A funk oddysey , shoot the moon and now smile . _________________ HIGH TIMES PERU :

Really? Their favorite tracks maybe didn't make it?
And the ones that did weren't mixed to their taste?
Maybe the band should learn to produce. Or go Indie!
Really, it does sound like a lot of rigmarole just to get their music out there. |

No no no, it was not my intention to be insulting or to underrate RDLS or other newer songs. Not at all. If you know me, you should know that I absolutely love the "old" stuff, but at the same time am a big supporter of their "evolution" and the new stuff they have done in the last years. RDLS is a brilliant album for me. And will always stay. But with SMILE they have absolutely hit some buttons in me that makes me having tears in my eyes while listening. That's something special.
So, when I say "best song in years" I mean that even if RDLS is such a brilliant album, Smile is EVEN better. I am not saying "ah, finally a good song at last"...
When RDLS is an album with an "A"... Smile is an "A+" with special award!
Hope this clears is up. |
Oh meike I don't know... maybe yesterday was not a very nice day to me hahaha thanks for your words!
Love the Evolution/Change of the band!

Although it is not surprising news to any I am honored by Paul's courage to admit his frustration that I've also felt from the beginning of "the case RDLS".
OK now not only we but also (at last one) band member(s) know how bad was decision to use the services of traditional "big" label so is the time to find the better ways how to set no limits in the proces of creation. And maybe to earn some money for ourselves and not for company that don't know how to promote the work of the band in the 21st century. |

I agree, in fact, as everybody knows, Radiohead did something like that with "In Rainbows" (self-released, no label), everything went OK, and the album was one of the best albums of the last decade... |

Holy comments, Batman!! lol
I wanted to add that I woke up this morning singing "Smile". It is ALREADY fully embedded in my mind, heart, and soul after only... what... 4 days or so?!
For me, that is the sign of truly great music. _________________ ~~~"To perchance upon this circumstance is something of a miracle so spiritual, it's verging on the physical."~~~ |

yes, I think what we are all saying is that Smile is maybe one of the best songs of jamiroquai in the latest years, but that doesn't mean there arent better songs out there |

Javis, I understand you. And I respect your opinion.
What I wanted to say is that in my opinion, there are other Jamiroquai songs better than Smile, in the last years.
It doesn't mean that I don't like Smile. It is a very good song, but in my opinion, there are better songs. _________________

Il like it. But it's not because it's Jamiroquai that's inevitably, superb for me.
The end of the song is really jazzy. Il like it a lot. But ..... From the beginning to the 3/4 of the song is too much linear.
For me, we are far away from a stillness in time, so amazing. _________________ Bercy 2011 !! ... What else ?! |
