Highs and Lows
I've been listening to some interviews where Jay describes his manic state of mind, and I can relate so this topic is to discuss how we can support each other when we are feeling the other side of high. We could ignore it and not discuss, but what is a discussion board for? Let's realize what makes feel happy inside as we discuss what to do whilst feeling blue.
Highs: butterflies, lemon meringue pie, a look in your eyes, love, dancing freely, singing happy songs, going to a party, rejoicing in all who arrive, truly feeling good vibes, bike rides, cool night skies, still water, peace, comfortable sleep, awakened by furry friends, exercise, bird songs, the perfume of nature's trees and flowers, the sun, the moon, the stars, and all that makes you smile, and brings you joy.
Lows: this could be a long list, so my thought is to drop whatever thought falls in this category. All those feelings of pain, loneliness, and wracking the brain, wishing to change...let's leave it all to thoughts that we need to drop. Those thoughts which hinder our ability to walk, run, and fly to our highs. I envision a stream of water nearby where the thought will plop like a drop that is diluted until it is clear. |

Frankly, even-keeled people are a bit boring!
Manic state busy, crazy, creative, expressive...
I think most creative people share this trait.
And the others just get married, have kids and work a 9-5 job.
Well, the creative ones can get married, and have eccentric kids. |

Honeybee, that made me laugh.
yes, creative crazy people color our world, and make us smile. Life would be dull without them.
"Manic Depression" is playing in my brain...might have to play me some Jimi. |
