Hey everyone!
First of all a big big thank you to Meike and Miran for this wonderful forum!
as some of you mentioned before this forum has been a part of my life since I joined which was in 2005!
Here I am 5349 more or less important posts later.
I have met so many wonderful people through this forum and had so many outstanding experiences that I wouldn´t have had without it.
I remember joining the community and at first I felt nearly a little intimidated by all these experts! I felt like I didn´t know anything.but very soon I just felt like a part of this family. everybody was always so welcoming and supporting.
I remember people joining and disappearing. I still wonder how some of them are today.
I don´t know how many hours I spent chatting to and with people about music, life ,love and loss. people here helped me through some hard times.
I remember crazy live chats during concerts and synchron music listening.
A story I tell very often is how Heather (Little H) once sent me the email adress of an Austrian girl she met at a jamirquai gig in Dubai. I never met Heather but through her I met Alice which I am still meeting nearly everytime I visit Vienna.
I received and sent Jamiroquai Cds,Dvds and other Jamiroquai related goods…  
I got to know musicians who I produced music together with over the internet.  
I visited new cities and countries for concerts ,gatherings and love.
This forum helped me grow and step over boundaries. It made me find friends all over the world who I feel like having a real connection. I could keep going ...starting to feel a little emotional haha
This all is so special.

Hey hey hey!!!
It's been almost 7 years I've been around here and there hasn't been such a great experience on the internet than this little site here!
For me, being a member here, it was a great chance to get closer to our beloved band and to gather with all those lovely fellow Jamirotalkers who have a big place in my heart now.

With the coming of Social Media it seems so ease to 'forget' this forum...not my intention at all!!! After all, like you said Meike, it is a quiet JMQ period!
However, I want to say THANKS! For this interesting and warm forum but most of all, because of the friends I've met thanks to this forum! Whiwh i consider as the biggest and most beautiful gift you could give me!!!

I still remember when I heard the interview with derrick via broadcast some time ago, I feel like  "this is the best place for jamiroquai" xd
heve been like 3 years of sharing and learning about jamiroquai and meeting interesting people and friends all over the world.
thank you a lot
hope that one day I could meet some of you

Here's for another 10 years for everybody. It seems quiet on here but on the 29th of April this year there were the most people online ever? People are maybe not posting as much as before but they are still reading. |
