According to Dutch radiostation 3FM (biggest station of the country, quite reliable aswell) Jamiroquai will be in studio again soon and will release a new album in 2015, with tour.
I don't know the source of the DJ.
Fingers crossed! |
interesting!!!!

We know they have been preparing a new album for a good amount of time now, so 2015 sounds like it could be the year.
(Another 5-year gap between albums). |

Just done that John. I hope it's a return to form too. Jamiroquai have always been an absolute knock-out in quality when it comes to funk and acid jazz, I hope the next outing is no exception. It seems to be every 5 years now an album comes out so indeed they are starting to slow down now. |

Thank you ! You've been giving some hope with this update !
If one bandmember reads these posts :
GIVE US PLEASE A DOUBLE CD with wild funk, soul and jazz ! (less less disco this time... )
GIVE US some instrumental tracks plus some jams (like in live)
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ! Like James Brown said ! (RIP Man !)
If we have to wait 5 another years please a DOUBLE ALBUM !
Time won't wait and LIFE is SOOOOO SHOOORT !
Thank you and big up for Jamiroquai !
Ps: could we have listen to "Your TV Is a Crazy Window" Thanks. Love to all ! _________________ "People find it's hard to be strong, cos' they don't know where they're coming from" |

Well I'd also like to put my order in for a little Jamiroquai!
It definitely needs to be Funky & Groovy, whether you call it Disco or Acid Jazz doesn't matter...Just make it Danceable!
and a little Soul like James Brown could be good! |

I agree HoneyBee! There were a couple dance tracks on RDLS but actually, I'm torn between wanting to hear some "oldschool" material from them a la EOPE and ROTSC....or wanting to hear something more along the lines of TWM, Synkronized, and AFO.
Of course, they will probably continue with the style they brought with RDLS which seemed to have a fair bit of rock in it which....meh. Then again, there was a nice throwback song with Two Completely Different Things as well as a TWM-style song with She's a Fast Persuader. And I know some people will say "If you wanna hear that acid jazz sound, just go listen to the first couple albums!" haha...but I don't know, that sound is Jamiroquai to me.
I mean they have a certain vibe they infuse into everything they do so as long as they don't lose that, I think it will always be fun to hear them explore new genres or whatever. It's still gonna be Jay Kay singing and the guys playing instruments as always. I think I'm up for some instrumentals this time though, I really like the ones they did on previous albums.
They could make bank if they released an intermittent album full of b-side material and unreleased songs, oh my God I don't know how much effort and time would have to be consumed for them to release something like that but it would surely make the wait for the next album so much easier for the fans. We can't do much but wait but man...when they finally start talking about the new album and releasing snippets, it's like Christmas for me _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. RDLS did have a Rock vibe which was a genre they never really tackled before (I think).

I think Jamiroquaiparis is saying that there are still plenty of tracks from the RDLS session that were recorded but not put onto the album, which we've already known. Didn't the band say they had recorded around 40 tracks or something? So I suppose there's enough to pull from for a future album unless they want to record some entirely new tunes. _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. I've heard Jay saying several times they like to record new material for each album. There are some exceptions though (Two Completely Different Things was apparently written for Dynamite I think). But every time they just record new stuff. |

I am the only one who thinks 2005- Jamiroquai is just Jay's cover name? lol
No I was just binge watching some jam videos on youtube tonight and most of the comments that are describing Jay, people keep saying Jamiroquai. I don't mind because I'm one of the few fans that can support that they are no longer a band anymore. Rather it's just Jay's stage name lol.
Anyways, I would really like for them to release some good singles this time around. Not that "Lifeline" and "Blue Skies" were bad, they weren't great and there were better tracks from RDLS.
to be honest I'd rather them just release singles and LP's from now on. An album is nice, but the last new tracks we heard from them were singles not apart of an album so idk. You can still go on tour without an album right? lol. _________________

Not recording until next year huh? Guess so seeing as how the holidays are upon us now so I don't think they'd be working during any of it. I'm betting it will get recorded during late spring and probably released late summer or fall. _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations.
