BTW, just for a clarification about the "BMG" copyright notices on the ASCAP search site, BMG is a 'music publishing & copyrights management' company, not a record label. Yes, it was bought by Sony Music back in 2008, then summarily sold back to it's original owner in 2012, but it's not a 'record label entity' of having a back catalogue of 'artists' signed them BUT they do manage 'discographies' of albums for royalty payouts to artists. Thought that needed to be pointed out to lessen confusion... _________________

I think/could speculate we will get the official band/record label announcement for the 8th Jami album this month. Also very interesting thing I realized about the ASCAP search engine, it mostly covers 'American' album/artist copyright information, these new noted song listings haven't appeared on other 'foreign music copyright' repetory sites, yet, examples: BPI & SESAC. And given the 8th Jami album was sent nearly exclusively to USA/the states for 'studio mixing', it isn't surprising these songs were to first appear on 'American Domestic' music copyright listings sites, in this case the ASCAP Repetory search engine. So yeah, we just gotta hang in there..still a part of me wonders, given the Official Jamiroquai Website is pretty 'under-updated', will they just 'announce' the new album on their pre-existing social media outlet portals? _________________

Don't ask me why I know that, but "out in the jungle" is a track from the RDLS sessions... _________________ Max. |

I personally would love to see ShootTheMoon on this new album but when I asked Paul turner at a recent Brother Stut gig (chance encounter) at the bar he said no that wouldn't be appearing. Ah well. I think it's amazing though, how many quai songs do you know hit that low of low drop D? Aahhhhhhh!!! |
