sorry for the slightly 'gushing' posts, it's just I'm SO HAPPY, regardless if Automaton is good or bad in the end, that Virgin EMI made things right with releasing Automaton nearly simultaneously around the world, after the RDLS debacle for the states release, this means so much for me and my fellow American JamiroFans. I'M SO FRICKIN' HAPPY!!!! YEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!

If anyone was wondering, the Automaton single available on the Google Play Music store is Constant Bit Rate 320kbps Joint Stereo MP3 and about 11Mb...
I noticed another MP3 doing the rounds today was Variable Bit Rate 213kbps Joint Stereo and about 7.3Mb. No idea where it originated from. Can't speak for iTunes or Spotify because I don't use them.

Nice work zeioIIDX, I reckon what you've got down is pretty-well right, but true to form, it's not easy to make out every word JK sings! I have a feeling the bits in bold are slight corrections, but see what you think...

It sounds like a much more mature take on Twenty Zero One (which I liked, but always found a little boring and static)
This has oodles of ideas chucked in! Lots of different things to appreciate and notice on each further listen.
My only comment - perhaps the single version for radio play should be slightly simpler - form wise? But hey! I don't care about it being too mainstream! |

Does anyone know, what is the difference between the Deluxe and the Standard edition CD?
(BTW so far the Delxue edition seems to be available for order only on the French version of Amazon.)

I like it, it sounds exactly as I was expecting it to from the clip. I was a bit surprised by the 4/4 kick on the chorus but it's quite nice, a disco / house hybrid.
Definitely shades of Daft Punk / Tron / 80s "computer" music. I like all the blips and bleeps.
Hopefully the rest of the album sounds like this. I'm done with Jamiroquai trying to pretend the are the band they were; they might as well do something completely different. |

Not disappointed in this one bit - the music and visuals work perfectly together! All the little sounds effects make much more sense now.
I'd definitely put it up there with the best of Jamiroquai's other videos
