It's a plug for the Jam phone stuff. If you look on the upper left corner, it says Dwango. It's the wireless provider that's doing this stuff. Go to funkin.com and find the commercial with Jay and the phones and watch the very end of it! _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. HA! I knew they're weren't done. No wonder it's taking so long. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Hello there
Cool find EvoV
Well Supersonic1... remember this is from August, that means two months ago...
I think the album is already done, maybe they are ultimating the last details, such things like the video, the covers, the promotions, preparing the tours, etc.
OH In that same site, you can find an interview to Derrick:

Check it out, I can't copy and paste it cause is under copyrights.

Hi there!
Wops....after that looks like that Dynamite will be the definitely title of the album. Ok, we should wait for the music inside the cd, probably this can explain the title

Yeap! As i said once, i like (not so much) "Dynamite" for the new album title.
I think "Dynamite" means a spectacular explosion of good good sound (I hope )....btw JMQ will explain us the reason why they had chosen this word for it.....c'mon Guys, ASAP _________________

I still think he/they will come with another title. How long will it be that the promotion will start? There's time enough to change things! |

Given Jay's love for all things funky, the title doesn't surprise me. Why? Well, Dynamite or rather "Dy-no-myte" as it was spelled then was a popular "slang term" in the 1970's; it simply meant - Dy-no-mite! - Great, excellent. It was made popular by the tv show Good Times.
This could be a good sign that they are returning to their funky roots since the hey day of funk was in the late 60's through the 70's. |
