Buterfly is just...not good. The lyrics are okay, but it just sounds not good, I can't call it another name. Currently, there are several tunes I don't like to listen to in their album versions, because they pale when compared with the live versions. Also about half of AFO doesn't do it for me anymore, and although I loved it once, half of the stuff there sound the commercialized and annoying to me, and the rest just sounds better live. _________________

ALL THE NEGATIVITY IN THIS TOPIC SUCKS! Just kiddin y'all.
I always skip over the insturmental only songs with no lyrics. Otherwise I've always hated Supersonic (Sorry Chris from R.I.). Call me a Didgeroo hater I guess. |
A good number of the instrumental tracks they do are some of the best material they have ever done like Music Of The Mind and the second half of Blow Your Mind, Didjital Vibrations, etc. IMO. I can listen to them for hours.
But yes, King for a day is probably the least favorite mainly because of the intro as well as the intro for Corner of the Earth. That COTE intro just blasts you to kingdom come, kind of uncomfortable. But the songs aren't so bad though one they are gotten into.

I really don't like that song lol
|
WoW...I like so much it!!!
I think it's one of the best rhytmed song JMQ ever done |
Supersonic is bizzare and quirky, it is an aquired taste song. The video, WOW!!!!!! I made the comment to my friend that you don't need to take LSD when watching that video!!!!!!
I got done listening to the Black Devil Car sample and it does not sound very good. It sounds rather flat and seems desperate. I sure hope that will not be the next album's aura. _________________ IT'S A PLANETARY....GOOD VIBE ZONE.....

Sincerely I choose Twenty zero one, love foolosophy and the major part of remixed songs from A Funk Odyssey. _________________ I'm slidin' down the wall

I think that Supersonic is pretty naff. Even worse is that it was released as a USA 8 track remix CD as well. The 8 versions of the song total nearly an hour - just my luck that this is the track I like the least. |

well the songs i dislike are:
EOPE: hooked up, whatever it is i just can't stop, emergency on planet earth and revolution 1993
TROTSC: none! great album!
TWM: use the force (it's like star wars!) and drifting alone
Synkronized: black capricorn day (i'm a cancer lol) and buttefly. i would like to say that i like king for a day so much! the lyrics and the music are great!
AFO: stop don't panic
i also don't like canabliss
and my favourite song is corner of the earth! i close my eyes everytime i listen to it and with the intro i fell i'm in a journey to a very beautiful place that the lyrics describe itself. a place where i can be me and no one laughs because i like a band whose singer is a guy with big and odd hats. that's great, because i'm a bit tired of that _________________

I played EOPE last night for the first time in ages. I shall now comit Jami heresy by saying that in music terms, I can live without this album in it's entirety. Not bad for a first attempt but of no real significance !!!

Oh, MVM !!!
What a brave but sad thing to admit.
Don't jump on him people, you'll have to go through me first :-llll !!!
But I want you try it again, EOPE track 4, lie down on the sofa, close your eyes and sip a beer and then tell me that If I Like I Just Do It doesn't make your viens run main man ?!?!?!?
And then rise at dawn on a beautiful sunny morning, eat THREE weetabix and go out for a morning walk listening to BYM in your earphones. You'll bounce and fly, and old ladies will smile at you and dog's won't pee on your leg, and school children will say 'good morning to you too'.
These two tracks are instant euphoria for me, I wish they could give you 0.001% of the pleasure that they give me and then that would rock Essex up to 99.9 on the Richter scale.
Actually, Revolution 1993 is like toothache and instant disorientation to me, so while you're coming clean - I'll be honest too.
:-)))) |
