Elimination of topics and reduction of post numbers
We, the moderator team have decided to write some sort of statement to explain the recent changes that have affected the OFFTOPIC areas and also the total post count of the forum and some individual users.
Right from the beginning, the "vision" behind Jamirotalk was to be different, and BETTER than the other Jamiroquai forums on the net. It must be emphasised that we always look at the quality rather than quantity.
It is for these reasons that we decided some topics are not appropriate for this "vision". We decided that:
-those topics unnecessarily wastes space and traffic on the forum
-there was no point of them being there, they didn't provide any information,
-they were not discussions, and for "games", they were pretty boring ones.
The results of the official poll showed, that a big majority of Jamiotalkers don't set no great store by those post boosters and sharewith us the same opinion about the needlessness of those topics.
Therefore these posts were deleted, hence the drop in post number and total posts.
The above points will of course apply to any topics which are posted in the future - i.e. if any of these points are raised, the topic will also be deleted.
-Threads in OFFTOPIC must still remain on topic - i.e. they can't be discussions about something different than what the topic started with.
-Threads in OFFTOPIC must still be DISCUSSIONS, not one-word answers etc.
-Of course good offtopic discussions are allowed and wanted. They must have sense, a reason behind them and some sort of information value.
To summarise, the same rules apply to the OFFTOPIC section as the other areas of the forum - the only difference is that discussions don't have to be about Jamiroquai.
We hope you agree and understand the reasons behind this. It must be repeated that Jamirotalk is about quality, not quantity. Help us to acheive our aim and keep Jamirotalk up and running properly.

I loved it, and it will CERTAINLY be for the best!!!
