A Tribute to Johnny Carson.
Hello,
Everyone today is saddened by the passing of the true "King of Late Night Television" Johnny Carson this past Sunday . Johnny Carson was a true class act, hosting the Tonight Show for a record 30 years, making America laugh during it's best times and it's dark times with his great moot sense of humour and classic skits. Over his tenure, he and his Tonight Show group of writers created unforgettable skit characters as...
CARNAC THE GREAT!!
ART FERN!! (Who spent more time getting sugar!)
In a weird twist of irony, NBC Producer of the Tonight Show Peter Lassally says that Johnny had recently been writing jokes for his good friend David Letterman to use on the "Late Show". Letterman had been turned down to takeover the Tonight Show back in 1991, NBC had picked Jay Leno after Johnny's retiring. But, Carson retired at the right time, and let new names build their ways through the business. Johnny Carson will be sorrowfully missed and we all send condolences to the Carson family. Thanks for listening and "Heeerrrreee's Johnny!"
Sincerely,
