 But Flor, 1 EUR (that's the usual prize for one song, isn't it?) for one song! You don't have 1 EUR??? Sorry, I cannot imagine that you have absolutely no money... I mean, how do you pay your internet connection for example?
Anyway, I will give you the money (or buy you the song!) It can't be that you have to resist of the new song because of no money!!! No fear! It won't ruin me!

Thanks Mouse! Of course I WANT TO PAY for that song! The problem is that I don't know anybody who uses a credit card (well...Im thinking my grandfather has one ), I was more thinking of HOW was that, cause I've never bought anything online. I didn't mean that somebody could send it to me via e-mail, of course not!! No illegal stuff for JMQ.
Or... if I can't buy it, don't worry, I'll buy the single, I know where to buy it. It's ok if I hear it after you! Haha

In the official site it says that we'll be able to download the single when it starts playing in the radio. They should be shooting the video, or something, just a thought...
And also: http://www.funkin.com/guestbook/?start_record=1 that guy Tumi (don't know who he is) says that he talked with Jay in a club a few weeks ago and he said there will be not an 8th album. That he wanted out of his record deal. Mmm... I don't know if this is a good thing, or a bad thing... or even a true thing...

 Hmm, I am slightly miffed that the pay download for the 1st single's date has been delayed .... but when you think about it, should be really surprised, everything Jamiroquai/Sony BMG related have been annoyingly delayed . Oh well, so it will be either a 1st or 2nd week of April till we can pay download it, I can wait. In regards to the talking to JK by a fan in a bar, we pretty much already knew that, JK has harped on and on for years about getting out of his abusive Sony/BMG 8 album deal, he could get out of it easily by paying his way out of the deal, nevertheless.. We appreciate the news ! As for the state of the pay download, I can understand alot of fans being reluctant to pay for the download themselves and asking others to send it to them, I mean buying ANYTHING online expects alot of research into the service you are buying it off. I mean, I haven't bought anything online, I mean, I just hope that Sony BMG is delaying the pay download of the single to make sure that the site they devise for it is completely and utterly SECURE! I mean, I would hate to see alot of fans credit cards #s being stolen and become victims of "Identity Theft".  Buts that just me voicing the "Worst Case Scenario", I'm not trying to make it seem that pay downloading is unsafe, just a warning . But I do agree sharing a paid download with others, strictly in a friend capacity whom you know is a trusted fan is OK, let's be honest, everyone in world has less money than they had 20 years ago. I know, I'm stretching it a bit, but I won't be dragged into the ethics of the music downloading, cause you all pretty much know my stance on that. Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sorry but i don't see anything wrong when someone download the song,here on the forum ,share it with anyother fan! EVERYONE will buy the cd , what is the difference?  (example..i can't buy the song i don't have credit card!)
Download it and spead it for all the fans in *.ogg ; *.mp3 any format! But spread it!
bah...what a fear from the laws lol (sorry to say that ,but in this cases i like to break the law!  )

"Fear" is not the point, Evo. The point is respect. Respect for the law, respect for mental property (copyright) of the band. If the band decides to sell the single and not to spread it for free, I respect it. It's their right. It's their property. If I take it without paying for it, I am stealing their property.
If someone suggests stealing the song, because "everyone will buy the CD anyway", it's like going to the supermarket without small change and stealing a little pack of cigarettes, because he will anyway come back lateron and make a bigger purchase. One may consider a little theft as "peanuts". Well maybe. As for myself I decided not to steal property of others. What others do - it's their own affair.
But, Evo, as far as Jamirotalk is concerned ... you are a moderator of this forum, and we have an explicit forum rule dealing with respecting copyrights. Please, even if you do not respect other's property, respect at least the fact, that Jamirotalk as forum might get in trouble if their members or even moderators start to spread or only promote pirate editions.
Okay, peace and still friends ... ... I hope you got the point. Do whatever you decide to do as far as you are concerned ... - but don't get us in trouble and respect our standpoint.

Thank you very much Meike. I have some money (very, very little money and it will be for buying the album and if I can -which I don't think so- to go to their concert -if they come to Argentina-).
We started having Internet at home this January, and we pay our Internet connection because my dad finished university last year. He decided to study law, so that he could give us the possibility of having Internet, which is something very useful for school.
But back to the subject, please, don't pay that 1 EUR for me... I can wait until the album comes out. I mean... I've waited for so long to listen to this song, it won't kill me if I wait for it a bit longer. Besides, I'm sure Brent or Diego, or any of you will write that song's lyrics in the JamiroTalk, so it's OK for me, Meike. Really . Thank you very much anyway.

I have just re-read my statement before, and also discussed with Miran... he told me that it sounds a bit arrogant what I said, as if I am full of money and can spend and lavish money freely. That was not my intention. I didn't want to sound arrogant or presumptuously.
But I think this is an interesting question, because 1 EURO can really mean different things in different countries. Here in Germany it is nearly nothing! Maybe in other areas of the world you have to work hard and long for one EUR?? I was not aware of that when I wrote it... so again sorry for that. It was just well-intentioned!
In order to discuss the value of money in the world, I will open a new discussion topic in Offtopic.

i know that i'll have to find the money for the single, im a student so as u can imagine i have no money. I don't see a problem with sharing the single, but i think it should be done in private, i.e over msn or e-mail it to people.

This is my case:
in venezuela you can't find anything about jamiroquai, at least the five studio albums, you can't find a t-shirt, a single... anything.....
if you can't find anything here, is impossible to find the single... it's impossible...
besides, it's very terrible to buy things on internet in Venezuela... the banks usually steal a lot of money for those transactions... so forget it...
so... what am i supposed to do? wait for the year 2008 for listening the new song? hehehehe it's stupid... i'll download it from internet... then i'll buy the original album, as i always do... (i hate to buy pirate copies) all my cds are original...

Yeah, it happens the same with me in Argentina. So I'll try to ask someone money for my birthday (which I don't think I'll get from my parents, but maybe my Godmother will ) and make my own Jamiroquai T-Shirt.

Here in Buenos Aires, I found only one single (Superosnic), only once and it was too expensive!
and about other Jamiroquai stuff I once bought a t-shirt, it was the only one in the shop and the buffaloman was.... weird, the head was too small, but I bouhgt it anyway. the thing is, i saw many people with a jamiroquai t-shirt on the street, in the bus and the train.... but i don't know where they got them ....
is there anyone here from Buenos Aires who knows where i can get jamiroquai stuff??
i'm desperate for a nice t-shirt or a poster
