Jay's Driving License
Just a little reminder...

Jay'll get his license back tomorrow (it's been 6 months since he lost it). That were probably the longest 6 months in his life Twisted Evil

wouldn't he be restricted (on probation) when he gets it back? in oz, it's not as if you just get your licence back after commiting a serious offence. you go on probation.

is it the same in the UK?

Don't think it is the same... What I mean is that I havent heard of it going probational after a ban. I think they just give the licence back like it was before. BUT, I'm not 100% sure.

I think it depends on what the court decides too. Eg, they can force you to go to driving classes and all that speed awareness stuff.

Waffle (don't know why i wrote this, but i did):

What it is: there's normally a compulsory ban if you go over 100mph. But, it depends on how much he exceeded the limit (I know he was going about 103mph..? ). If he exceeded a 70mph limit, that's not too bad. He still gets banned, but it's not a "serious offence" in the very literal sence of the phrase, it's just a speeding offence.

But, say if he exceeded a 30mph limit (to 103mph) that would then be a serious offence and he would have been banned longer than 6 months.

So to sum up, I think he'll be back on the public roads in full.

Yay! Its about time he got it back, it must suck for him not being able to drive all those nice cars! Except knowing him, he will get back behind the wheel and do the exact same thing... Rolling Eyes

Did his driving ban become valid only in UK or even in USA?
I have a question... During the 6 months of the driving ban, was he allowed to drive in the USA anyways?
I am asking this because he appeared on the recent Los Angeles photos with his blue cadillac. 2scratchchin

under the International Drivers Licence rules, if your licence has been suspended in your country of origin, then your IDL is void for the period of suspension.

summary: no he couldn't have driven it in the 'states.
