My God Chill people, "if you don't like it go home"!!!!!!!!!!!!!????
Jesus, relax and take a deep breathe.

Pietro Choko, if you can accept the opinion of other Talkers, go to the bathroom, take a VERY cold Shower and then comebak.
That's what i did after listening to the sample 500 times! Cool

I thought the track is pretty cool. I'm a Zender fan and I miss the old sound, but today is a totally different context to the late 90's.

The track itself has a strong groove, and no doubt the rest of the song, not to mention the album, will be snazzy.

the fact is that NOBODY of us knows NOTHING about the new album except a 14 seconds bad quality clip of one song, opinions gave after listening this are only personal thoughts, it's clear that if you are sure about how everything it's gonna be on the new album, only 'cos you like or hate that sample, shows your personal behavior, the way of deffending or telling lot of things here from lots of people shows how that people is in life, of course all this is personal an subjective, so all the discussion about this turns personal since people is discussing about personal ideas, not about a real thing 'cos as said nobody knows really nothing about wich MUSIC will find on the album.
to love that clip don't means you will love all the album
to hate that clip don't means you will hate all the album
if you think is totally original don't means album will be original
if you think is commercial don't means album will be commercial

I´m not going to say I like it just becouse it´s jamiroquai.

And all that crap about that we, the fan community have to support Jamiroquai (or is it jay?), all I can tell you is that I´m not gonna idolatre a guy who doesn´t give a f*ck for his followers. He doesn´t know this page exist. I´m sure he hasn´t visit the official site never. I´m not going to say: Oh, it´s jamiroquai, that sound is the best I´ve heard in many time!. Just think about any other group doing the same song. Would you even listen to it? NO, of course you don´t.

yeah, it´s only 14 seconds, but I didn´t like the black devil car sample too, and pray for not having cannabliss in the album. I got used to the "a funk oddyssey" new sound, but I don´t think I´m going to get used to this one.

first, you have absolutely no right to bash other people opinions like that, if he dislikes the way jamiroquai is turning why can't he tell? It's so funny that you say "listen to some other hollow shit" Laughing yeah sure mate, like Jamiroquai invented music, there was the ether before them, if there's no Jamiroquai there's only MTV huh?

Actually millions of alternative small groups deserve a chance, and no, they are not airing on MTV any moment of the year.

For crying out loud, keep in mind that Jamiroquai is no longer that alternative acidjazz group from the 90's, they're sony backed and mtv fueled. They are mainstream.

PietroChocko wrote:

i will state it again: while i don't like the sample provided (just the SAMPLE), that does not mean i am writing off the band altogether (or the album.) YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER. if you do, then you are not a true JMQ fan.

and i won't stand down from my comments. thanks for listening.

So mate, is this some kind of competition then? where in the hell did you find the inscription sheet and the rules on how to be a true JMQ fan

By looking at replies like yours I get the feeling that the Jamiroquai community turned into a mindless fan competition (and I've been following it since almost 1997), I thought we were here discussing, it's so ironic that you all offended guys bashed in such a ravenous way every other people with negative opinions. This kind of insane behaviour is unprecedented. And sincerely mate, this is just music, if being a true JMQ fan forces you to bashing other people opinions just to defend a MUSIC ALBUM... then stop the ship, I'm leaving.

at least some people agrees with me... these are just my opinions... if you take them, well, if not, don't kick me out of the site cos i don't want to... i just want to give my opinion about the new sample and album.

All the things they hav shown are terrible; Cannabliss, FJLIS, BDC, the album title... the only good thing they hav done is Shoot the Moon...

ohh Jamiroquai is evolving into JamiroRock! Wink
hehehehe

i'm going to go...
bye

Just heard it....

I don't know what u are all babbling about...Jamirotalk is a place for this kind of discussion....this is what this forum is all about...
Now, i can surely understand why some of you don't like it, and why some of you do, however

WHAT THE HELL IS IT WITH THE PERSONAL BUSINES????!!!

Hey guys, cmon, stop being wiseasses, and let's all listen to each other's opinion...we are all entitled to one, and sure we can disagree, but why get personal over 14 seconds? If you are prepared to offend people because you didn't like the kind of music they do, then my advice for you is to stop listnening to JMQ, quit here and go listen to Incognito, or something you'll like more.....
I'm saying this because i'm really pissed at people who are just too damn narrow minded to accept other people's opinions, and feel entitled to personally offend them....and it has it's precedents...i'm just not stating any names because i'd like to make this a general comment.....
Instead of thanking brightside for sharing with us and all, you people are fighting over a 14 second clip....If you don't like the album TOUGH LUCK is all I can say, because jamiroquai is definitely not changing for your needs....as long as they get money they are happy...and that'll happen with ANY artist...

Once again, this is me exercising my right to opinion!!!
And also, taking the chance to thank Mouse, Bear and Brightside, for making it so easy to obtain this little snippet...we've been waiting 3+ yrs, and it's finally here...i can't wait for the album in may!!!

there's something i really don't understand here and it makes me feel sad Crying or Very sad . perhaps i'm innocent because i'm very young or something like that, but i think that this is an opinion forum which should be based (apart from jamiroquai) in tolerance, and i've seen many times that this is not respected I'm not saying we should all think the same way, because that would be absurd, but we should respect other people's thoughts. who am i to say for example "if you don't like it go home" or "you're not a jamiroquai fan then"? (i'm not saying this for someone in special, but in general...) that's the most stupid and hurtful thing i've ever heard... some of us (including me) have had difficulties with our friends to talk about music, and we've felt alone sometimes, and then we found this site, where we are not the odd one outs any more and what happens? someone who thinks has more autority than you tells you to go home or say that you're not a real fan. we must respect, Meike, the administrators and the moderators decision's of course (that autority is necessary), but we should also respect each other and no one here has enough autority to say if we are fans or not, because we know that in our hearts. we are all different, each of us have a diferent soul education, diferent pockets full of diferent rainbows and one blue sky: jamiroquai. don't you see how beautiful would it be if we all put our rainbows in that sky? our beauty is in the variety.

Funny thing here is that only the so called "positive" ones are those who are actually getting into personal attacks. I've been trying unsuccessfully to have a little discussion here, but so far the only answers from the "positives" have been "shut up and quit if you don't like". Real nice Rolling Eyes

Note for the mods: you shouldn't edit those attacks so blatantly, if this is a discussion forum then people SHOULD back its own words. By editing them you aren't allowing people defend themselves.

Laughing That's the difference between J.Talk and Jamirotalk! Wink

Moderators only edit posts if someone is getting abusive or doesn't follow the rules in any way. Private warnings will follow, if necessary. Read the forum rules if there is something not clear. Or write me an email.
