its ROLAND TB 303!!!
ROLAND TB 303 is legendary model in the world of ACID JAZZ (its production started in early 90s) made specially for acid jazz musicians and djs!!!
COOL!!!!! |
Nice to hear! Anyway... it's the only releation to acid jazz movement we could find .
Consider that we could't call a blockbuster the Brand New Heavies's brand new album ... is acid jazz's brit funk flavour dead ?
I wanna see the b&w label back!!! _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

Actually NOT
I don't even think there's a 303 in that track, 303's are old and messy, a single Nord Lead 2 could beat, in terms of usability, lastability and sound quality, a rack of 303's all alone. Clavia Nord Lead is just totally coolness (and can mimic a 303 hands free)
TB-303 was created in the early 80's and it wasn't a huge success at all, it was developed as a bass guitar replacement and if you ever listened a 303, it failed miserably , so everybody forgot about it quickly.
But 1988, Summer of Love, saw a rebirth of the 303 when some Dj's found that it could be actually useable and began playing it live on the newly created rave parties all around the UK, and thus the ACID HOUSE scene was born.
The only connection between Acid Jazz and Acid House is the word Acid.
Check these tracks to find out what's actually Acid House:
·Phuture - Acid Trax
·Fast Eddie - Acid Thunder
Cheers!

hi!
if its nord lead then its simply a reincarnation of TB sound.
(as some sounds of nord lead which i think is really great, btw)
i can suggest its nord lead because they used it on
the last tour so much, but even if its so,the idea of this type of sound was reproduced from TB 303 that was first to play such sounds... i think you'll accept if you ever had it, or played its presets. besides they used rolands a lot in AFO tour. |

after read all this pages , what a preatty nice argue that is arround! A big : lol for all this!
Well now is my time to bring more "fire" to the topic, well i just give my opinion! My "dear" friends...we can't wait for a EOPE or ROTSC Album, no more , never more, that is the true!(the only chance to hear that kinf of songs again is the gigs) The trully objectiv of this new album is just one: catch the sales in the USA. Grab the market that runs away for long time in the states, that is why the new songs of the album will be much more rocky!
With this..jamiroquai can lost the european and the japanese market! cause the fans are link to a kind of sound , and don't like to much this new one! But that is problem of Sony and the Band , do as they want to do! (and with all this can lose all the markets , and don't sell so good anywhere)
About the song , for the 14 secounds , isn't the enought to judge it! Who wait 4 years , can wait some weaks!
Is sad to see that jamiroquai is puting back the origins!!

Hello Ryan,
In this topic we are talking about 14 seconds of the song, that you can listen to at the beginning of this topic if I am not mistaken. Anyway, the song was available for pay download in Napster only a day, and few people could listen to it. So watch for the sample in here, and then post about it

Well I listened to Feels Just Like It Should and Ihave the same reaction the first time I heard Deeper Underground. Kinda...confused. I guess it's a new sound I gota listen deeper to to try and understand and feel it. But if it's just something quickly thrown together for pop charts, then I'll be disappointed. >.< The countdown continues. |

Feels just like it should
well,
even when some people are not alright with sharing the song it is flowing slowly through those people that trully advocates to find it... ahh human nature, love and die for it...
the song is actually nice... a remarcable change, and (in my personal opinion) has an evident continuity with those vocal-games that jay did on the test-pressing of the funk odyssey album..
regards to everyone and please keep the good work

feels just like it shouldn't?
Feels just like it should sounds pretty good to me, i've always been quite open about all of Jamiroquai's music and even if this album isn't as good as the hype we create, i'm still goin to the UK gigs!!
If you want something a little more jamiroquai, i'd suggest u go to
www.the-magic.co.uk they have some strong tunes.
Peace,
