HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIROQUAI!!!
in october 19th, jamiroquai's first single, when you gonna learn, was realesd under the acid jazz label, make it to number 52 in the uk sales chart.
ten years later, jamiroquai have sold over 20,000,000 copies of thier 5 albums, and won several mtv awards, and a gramy!
from the five people band that played on the first album, only JK left, while the music styled changed and involved from acid jazz to funk, soul, and disco.
may the next jamirodacade will be as groovy/funky/jazzy as this one!

+++ Anniversary - 10 Years JAMIROQUAI +++
Big congratulations to Jamiroquai!
On 19 October 1992 the first Jamiroquai single When You Gonna Learn had been released on the Acid Jazz record label and reached number 52 in the UK singles that week.

Ten years on, and it's still as fresh and important as before. Well done to my favourite band. Who'd have thought they'd still be going in 10 years' time?
I will play my WYGL 12" in celebration, and thank whoever runs this crazy planet for giving us this euphoric vibe. Long live Jamiroquai!

Meike, the Acid Jazz version of WYGL is not super duper hard to find. I always thought it was some kind of mythical item, but if you look in the right places you will surely find one. I got my AJ 12" last year (thanks to the wonderful assistance of Romain!) and came across other Jami 12"s in the independent record stores of London. I gather the CD version is very hard to find, but any of those little record shops or internet sites will throw up some interesting surprises.

that's the point, ezbe. london. takes us about... hmmmm... five hours to get there, and costs us at least 40 british pounds. makes a single quite expensive doesn't it _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

**Ezbe understands the concept of foreign travel!**
I'm sure if you ask people nicely, they will go and look for you if they happen to be passing a record store in London...

i'm not whining, missjaykay! :)
I'm thankfull for ebay as well (my bankaccount isn't!) but as i wrote in a previous thread somewhere, it's not only the having of the singles but also the hunting! and to be honest, i did spend about the money for a trip to london for a jamiroquai-bootleg-cd... _________________ Dear Auntie Em.
