My own JamiroCake!
hello fellow funksters.
last year, i saw Diego's cake that he had for his birthday, so i thought, in the true spirit of one-upmanship, i made one too.
my birthday was november 12 last year (planned for same date this year ), and the night before, my mother and i knocked it together.
here's how we did it:
firstly, we made 2 30cmx30cm slabs of chocolate cake. then, i free-handed drew the outline of the Buffalo Man, then trimmed the cake to size.
that's what the base looks like.
then, my mum melted some chocolate, put some baking paper over the Buffalo Man, and made a chocolate capping for the cake.
then, with my mother's steady and patient icing hand, she iced the top and sides of the cake.
and then, once the chocolate had set in the freezer, we put the chocolate on the cake, and let it sit overnight in the fridge.
next night, cake time!
enjoy! |

Pietro and Diego should get together and make a buffalo shaped cake pan! and then mail it to me Yum, now I have the munchies for chocolate buffalo cake! By the way, if any girls out there wanted to make a cosmic girl buffalo cake, you could use vanilla cake and grape icing! (so good, and it would be purple!) For the icing you put 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 cup grape jelly, and 1 egg white in the top of double boiler. (2 saucepans, but one fits on top of the other so its heated by the water boiling under it) You beat all the ingredients with a handheld mixer until its forming soft peaks, then take it off heat and beat for 2 minutes more or until its forming stiff peaks. There's your grape icing! My dad used to use this for filling in crepes with powdered sugar on top. It is sooooo good, but sweet. Enjoy! Maybe I'll try to make it for the release of the CD, since my B-day was in March. _________________ This is our corner of the Earth |
