Í wonder if Derrick McKenzie is still really playing the drums.
The new tracks sound very synthesized to me. What do you think

I think Derrick's real input has been cut since ROTSC...that was the only album i believe he played whole...
You can see many electronic drumming on the other albums, and Derrick and Sola seem to appear much more live....pity, especially for us, percussionist/drummers...

look what toby said about the way some drums lines were recorded on Synkronized: Cool

"We took a click from the drummer and used that to trigger fatter sounds and keyboard kicks and stuff like that," he says.
"So, the sound will be quite a lot different, and then it'll have the classic Jamiroquai-esque sound too."
