I don't mind back vocals (from men or women), as long as they sing good. Surely Jay's voice need a bit support in the moment.
And in the verona concert, I liked the back singers very much.
What I don't like is the talk about the new lady here and in other topics. Why is she always refered to as the "fat lady"? Has she no name?
I think we should treat her with a little respect like all the band members. Let's give her a chance and see, how her voice will fit with the band during the tour.
It is silly only to look at her outside appearance. The band surely thought well about choosing her. If you want some of of that slim plastic puppies singing back vocals with a lot of technical support because of their similar thin voices, well you can find that in all the shitty bands on the pop market and in every cheap magazine.
I go to a jamiroquai concert because of the good music, the band feeling and the audience with lots of fans feeling the same vibe.

i was on the official site and i saw that someone called her "fat lady"... at last that's what she is... and she is the one that gives that "church" backsinging to the band... i liked the way they sang in the last tour (compared with now they sang marvelous)...
