14. Best piece of advice you’ve been given.
Shut-up, by bakers on the night shift listening to my first overnight show on the radio in Devon. They ended up friends after 6 months!
15. Worst on-air moment
Many years ago playing a pre-recorded ‘phone interview from an artist just about to go live on stage at a concert, as part of the interview I got them to sing down the ‘phone as a warm-up. What I didn’t realise was the concert had been cancelled because the singer had Laryngitis. There were some very angry people who had turned up at the venue only to find it had been cancelled. They were listening to me and hearing the artist in fine voice. By the way the singer was Phil Collins!
16. Most memorable moment on-air
Doing a ‘phone in competition in Hull that got so many calls that it knocked out the entire Hull phone system for an hour, this meant that over half a million people couldn’t use their ‘phone for an hour!
17. Dream car?
Jay-Kay’s £750,000 Ferrari, if I could borrow that for an hour I’m sure I’d pull and lose my licence!
18. How did you get into radio?
A Lot of begging and hard work! Sadly I didn’t have to sleep with anyone.

Hugh Keevin’s is everybody’s best friend. Don’t fall for the Mr Grumpy act, he’s the life and soul of Radio Clyde
