We Have A Chance Jay Knows What We Discuss!!!
hi guys,
on 13th of may David posted this news on funkin:
http://funkin.com/news/?id=2303
Jay spoke about internet there, it means we have a chance that Jay reads what we post and discuss from time to time!!
JVC's DLA-HD2K Projector – The centrepiece of Jay Kay of Jamiroquai's own Home Cinema.
May 3, 2005 12:00 am
London, 03 May 2005 – After being on tour for two years, Jay Kay was ready to spend some time at home. The project was to give Jay his own home cinema after he had decided to completely renovate the inside of his historic Manor house nestled in the countryside of Buckinghamshire, UK.
Having investigated the projectors in the market that could provide the high image quality and flexibility of signal sources, JVC's native high definition model, was selected. In fact, the DLA-HD2K projector is used for all media in the house: Sky TV, DVD's, computer / Internet, Video and Play Station. The projector is installed under the ceiling of a room which is called "The Cinema".
The HD2K investment coincides with the launch of Jay Kay's new album called "Dynamite" which is being launched in June together with a new single and video clip named "Feels Just Like it Should!"
Sound Engineer, Rick Pope specified and installed the HD2K. "We are using the DVI input from the computer and composite video for Sky TV. The HD2K was literally plug & play so we were up and running quickly and had no problems with the projector "talking" to our other bits of kit."
"The Cinema really is a 21st Century "technology tavern" where the HD2K is automated with lighting, blinds and audio."
Rick Pope adds, "The system is played through an ELAC 7.1 surround sound system consisting of 2 x Spirit of Music, 1 x centre CC 200.2, 2 x 211.2SP subwoofers, 4 x Cinema 24CM surround speakers all driven by a Sony TADA 9000 7.1200watt per channel power amplifier and a Sony TA-FB940R 120watt x 2 channel power amplifier. The cinema seating has a Buttkicker LFE system installed by Network Music for earth shaking movement. The computer system from Digital Northwest consists of a DIGN Home Theatre PC HV5 for DVD, internet & PC games with 2 similar computers located on the other floors for networking, multiplay gaming and music sharing, with Jay's entire music collection being transferred to hard disk. There is also a Playstation 2."
Rick Pope adds, "High Definition is the future of films and DVDs. Choosing the HD2K was definitely the way forward and we wanted a projector that was future proof. The HD2K is ideal for our cinema. We are now waiting for HD DVDs to run on the cinema system".
The HD2K achieves the look, feel and resolution of cinema film with stunning clarity. It produces natural but deeply rich colours and cinema-quality blacks with smooth gradations and low noise. The high definition resolution is 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz and the projector has a contrast ratio of 2000:1. The 2-part system comprises a projector head containing three native true HD D-ILA resolution chips and a digital video processor and up-converter.

Jay Kay of Jamiroquai comments, "After filming my new video clip, "Feels Just Like it Should", I can watch it in The Cinema using the best technology and best format possible. The image quality and feel of the image projected from the JVC HD2K projector is stunning. As you can imagine, when any of my musician friends visit, there is an immediate cinema festival – playing the many wondrous games,
internet surfing
and watching videos. The true testimonial to the attractiveness of any home cinema happened when my non-musical friends stopped by. With all that amazing picture quality and content at their fingertips, they always gravitate to the ultra-cool home cinema system. I also use the system to chill out and relax when I am not touring or recording. In my house, this is where a true home cinema experience happens. It's my favourite room in the house!"

He is reading the post definetely!!!
I just bought a new German magazine "blond", June issue.
It has a three pages article about a visit of the blond reporter to Jay`s house.
The reporter (which is a dumb ass in my thought) is shown around the house and then they hear together Dynamite in Jays multimedia room. Jay is talking about difficulties and the pressure to make a good new album.
And then this happens:
...Jay starts to surf with the keyboard into the net...On the big flat screen several fan pages appear side by side. Immedeately Jay surfs into each forum and chatrooms. Some last entries are weeks old. Some praise the timelessness of his big hits, some posts are not that flattering. Words like burned out or used are often used, some talk about departure some of lacking innovation......
Jay laughs..."Some entries are bullshit", provocating. But many posts have shown me, that there are people outside waiting and yearning for me. Out of this I took my inspiration for 'Dynamite'. If I came to a point in the studio when I thought I was in a dead end, I felt stucked, then I read this postings, on and on. These people encouraged and helped me, not to loose myself totally."....
I think we all love to hear THAT
Here is some translation, only of the interesting parts of Jay's statements about internet/fans: _________________

@detrax: I would certainly die if that happens, it would be like a dream come true only God knows how much I love and admire Jay, so imagine... I don't think I'll ever meet him in person, so it would be great to read one of his posts here. _________________
