Hi, my name is Kasper, I live in Denmark (Copenhagen) and I'm 18 and I’ve almost finished high school.
Of course I'm crazy about Jamiroquai; it truly is a unique band that makes some unique music. But something else that I also truly love is CARS - I am extremely enthusiastic about cars. My big dream is to become a car designer, so I spend a whole lot of time drawing/designing cars and if you're interested you should definitely go check my website.....but first when it's ready - it won't take long. I'm also very interested other design – you could say design in general, and not to mention architecture.
Though I don't play an instrument, music means very much to me and I listen to very many genres - Funk, Jazz, Rock, Classical to mention some. Above Jamiroquai, I'm also a big fan of Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Soulive (they’re just amazing), Azymuth, Coldplay and W.A. Mozart just mention a few bands and artists.
Finally, I also love basketball and it is with no doubt my favourite sport - and if I have time and the weather is good I love playing street basket with my friends.
That's a few words about me - I'm glad to be a part of Jamirotalk (great concept) and I'm very excited about the 6th album and I can't wait to have it in my hands |

Hi Everybody, I'm Uzz. It's an old high school nickname.
My real name is Beccy, I'm a student of Multimedia Computing, going into my third year at University (ARG!).
My first Jamiroquai album was Travelling Without Moving, which is immense. I am also a huge fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine and other rocky stuff.
At the moment I work in a game shop to fund my studenty-ways of boozing, partying and, em, studying. Yeah... that's it... STUDYING.
I swear way too much, comes with the job of dealing with the general public and being raised in Glasgow and I would like to apologise in advance to you all. |

Hi everyone! I'm more of a reader in here, but still here I go:
I'm 21 years old, from Germany, and I've just recently grown fond of Jamiroquai. It wasn't exactly the new album, but rather Synkronized that got me hooked a year or so ago. I'm not a die-hard fan or anything, just enjoy most of Jami music.
Since someone mentioned the RHCP, they were my first object of obsessive fandom a while back, especially the old "lube-yourself-with-flourescent-paint-and-switch-on-the-black-light" stuff and of course the mighty "Blood Sugar Sex Magik", but since "By The Way" came out they drifted into meaninglessness in my book. Still the love for funky music remained. I've also been a passionate fan of the L.A.-band "Mother Tongue" (somewhere between Doors and RATM), but these days I just really like the music and that's it.
I listen to all kinds of music, as long as it's creative and not boring, when it grooves it grooves. My favourites these days are (in no particular order) DJ Shadow, Chemical Brothers, Maceo Parker, Herbie Hancock and some others (heck, right now I'm listening to Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" ). Only Beck will be my all-time messiah.
Other than that I'm a translation student at university for English and Spanish who's just finished her second semester.
Back in school I used to make music myself, played clarinet, tenor-sax (playing Hancock's "Chameleon" in the school big band was the biggest fun, so funky) and tried cello, but then found out I'm too... simple for string instruments. Nowadays I'm fine just listening.
I'm amazed by the diversity of this board and I'm sure it will be fun hanging around!
End of novel. Take care! _________________ funk you! |
