I Love the way love blind transists it sounds good at the start-i liked that bit then the hardcore funk kicks in -i also love the little 1920's style piano interlude in the middle-the main bit sounds scissor sisters-ish

And ive hate a chance is just quality music formed but it does sound simmilar to supermen lovers-starlight

Just heard the whole album, and yesssss!! I love it, i really think its one of Jami's best.

The whole album just seems to fit and flow and the songs are so well produced and sound fantastic.....and i even think feels just like it should sounds great. A great album for drivin along in the sunshine, love it.

I think ROTSC is still my fav but i actually prefer it to Travelling Without Moving as it flows better and the production quality of the songs is far superior

Sorry guys - I just had to say that this is the 5001 st post in the Jamiroquai news section - and I made it.

Anyway, I appreciate your good review Mr Dance - I've only heard the samples (which I love), and the review matches what I think.

I'm realizing we will never get the old Jamiroquai back, the real musicians with a message. I know you guys are all really excited for the album, as was I, but I am pretty disappointed. Sorry to be a downer..but it's crap (for Jamiroquai), in my opinion. I ran through the whole thing a few times, and sadly, Feels Just Like it Should is one of the best tracks. The disco songs (Time Won't Wait, Give Hate a Chance) are super-saccharrine, overproduced, and rely too much on backup singers - this is coming from someone who likes disco a lot. Talulah is like..his version of Leaving on a Jet Plane or something, and leaves a lot to be desired. It's really an empty pop song, nothing really funky about it. Maybe hype killed it. Dynamite and Starchild are good tracks for this album, but are not up to the level of classic Jamiroquai tracks. The only classic is Seven Days in Sunny June, and that's just a pop song. There are no solid grooves on this album (see: Emergency on Planet Earth, Return of the Space Cowboy, Travelling Without Moving) and overall, it's very 'top heavy'. The bass is not the center of the music anymore, which was their signature sound. Also, he just doesn't sing like he used to - lyrically (the lyrics are very weak and sparse in this album) or in the strength of his voice. He's gotta stop smoking or something.. A few of the tracks are just horrible (Hot Tequila Brown). Loveblind could have been really good had they not done that whole electric guitar thing. It had a very Stevie Wonder/classic Jamiroquai type vibe, otherwise. Stop Don't Panic syndrome, haha. Best songs: Starchild, Dynamite, Electric Mistress, Seven days in Sunny June, Feels Just like it Should. I would say those are about as good as the 'okay' tracks on other albums. It lacks the majestic quality we got in the past with songs like Revolution 1993, Space Cowboy, High Times etc. Well, that's my opinion.
