Hi Flor,
I think "Space Cowboy" ist not an ultimative description with only one meaning.
As for the Jamiroquai song Jay used it surely for someone who is in "higher spheres" by drug and sex. The album version honours that both, the live versions mainly refer to drug experiences... that'ts my opinion.
As for the video's you mentioned...space cowboys...is just a term for any science fiction films...like matrix.. _________________

space cowboy is everyones "alter ego" when it's high, that good feeling inside you going out with a sunshine smile!
btw, it is a great version, i love the beggining , so classic and smooth, i have to say again that matt's playing is what i dislike, he doesn't play the wrong notes, but for me he haves not that vibe, not the feeling, not the sound.....
and those backing vocals reminds me too little l....appart from that i like the new way of the song
and i'm also agree with the best version on twm era. my absoulte live fav is this track, the 94 versions are incredible, the 95 long versions are so trippy and awesome, the 96 with that brand new jazzy intro are just the best, and the 99 touch is great.....
(and those new pseudostrings are just those kind of arrangements wich are nasty to me, as those live brass in supersonic.....:-S ) _________________

That's a good sign they played "Space Cowboy" live on radio. That means they're going to play some tracks from the best album they ever released on tour (just look on my avatar in the official forum, hehe). So I'm looking forward to see them live on stage, I hope they come to Luxembourg or in it's region. |

I wouldn't say it was the best version ever, but it was better than previous efforts. Paul Turner did okay as well. Nothing beats the original single version, or the demo either for that matter.

yeah Pietro, senile actors gettin' high, I knew it wasn't gonna be put as soundtrack!
Too sad, they used Nsync's space cowboys instead, reminds me of their POP video copying supersonic |

of course my favourite version was always the one from TWM era.
but...my favourite version now is the one they do now.
i love the disco part of the song so much i am
going to find the way to ask Jay release it on one of forthcoming singles
i dream about releasing 3 versions - live one, studio produced one and one from rehearsal.
i really need it.... |
