so it IS looking hopeful for fjlis ... because I've got my doubts about it, they never play it on tv and radio anymore and they used to a couple of times... I've no doubts about Dynamite, just like every other album it will be a hit
Btw dutch fans, next week there is a article about Jay Kay in the Veronica magazine!!!!!!!!
* still haven't heard dynamite because I want it to hear for the first time when I bought the cd * (difficult time for me because I DO HAVE the album on my pc lol |

Dynamite's chances of No1 spot
I also noticed somewhat to my horror that Dynamite is being released same week as the Foo Fighters new album.
This isn't good people!
Serious competiton for no1? |

| FJLIS is not doing very well here in Latin American charts is it? Well, at least in the Argentinian ones I haven't seen it |
I dont know about charts and that stuff but I can tell you sthg about TV.
I dont watch TV and rarely listen to radio but a friend told me that FJLIS is getting airplay in MTV Latin America (Chile - Peru -Ecuador...) This is good as I didn't expect them to get some space as MTV is full of crap US music (not because it's from US.. u know what I mean)... the only track of AFO that made it to the top 10 was You give me something ... Love foolosophy and corner of the earth were rarely shown (I know in argentina the story was different) _________________ We're going to a funktion yeah yeah yeah |

It has been airplayed but I haven't seen it in the charts, at least yet... and I remember LF being in the first position of the MTV "los 10 más pedidos" for a long time, it was almost a month in that chart!... COTE was not in the MTV charts, you're right, but I've seen it many times in the MuchMusic's "Countdown" where I saw it for the first time, on the 17th of June, 2003 at 7.05 pm, and since then, well... the rest is history
P.S: I'm sorry, but everytime someone mentions COTE I can't write something about it without going a bit offtopic
P.S 2: My Jami Anniversary will be in 9 days _________________

That was in argentinian MTV, there are 3 MTV latin america... one for arg another for mexico and th other one for the other countries... i'm talking about the last one... LF never made it to Los 10 mas pedidos... YGMS did but only reached number 6 I guess... and Little L... was too disco.... u get the idea.

Chart positions in Holland
Hi,
Well, in Holland we can conclude FJLIS won't be a commercial success. In the chart for upcoming releases FJLIS doesn't seem to move upwards at all. Probably this is due to lack of airplay on the radio and TV. In an unofficial chart for alternative music, FJLIS is performing a lot better as it moved up to number 5.
Luckily there's no need to panic. Only Deeper Underground made it to the top 20 in the commercial charts. Canned Heat and Little L just cracked the top 40 and that was that. None of the other singles made it to the top 40.
The albums on the other hand all did rather well and all reached the top 10.
So I was wondering, what's happening with FJLIS in other countries. Besides that I'd like to know whether Jamiroquai is a big commercial band in your country or whether the situation is more or less the same as in Holland.
Cheers, Phunkynassau |

Hey!
Feels Just Like It Should charted at No. 6 in the CD:UK chart today. I had hoped it would reach No. 3 at least, but, there's still time as the official UK Top 40 is decided tomorrow.

No FJLIS in the charts in France
I have seen the clip only three times since its release... And I've never heard it on the radio. (but some French guys did... rarely).
Besides, noone in France knows there's is a new single of Jamiroquai !!!
What a pity ! _________________

Jamiroquai have charted in the UK Top 40 at...wait for it...No. 8!
Pretty good considering it's their first release in a long while! It just goes to show that they still have a great fanbase!

Number 8 ... you gotta admit thats a little bit dissapointing. I was thinking it might get into the top 5.
But I do think it's generally agreed that FJLIS is the poorest song on the album - so here's hoping that SDISJ can get closer to the No 1 spot. |

Yeah, there's no denying that I'm a bit disappointed, but they can only chart higher now, especially with tunes like SDISJ (and Starchild - they've just gotta release it)! The album too will be a great success, I just know it!
