New White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan!!!

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Very Happy One of my personal fav music groups, "The White Stripes", have their next dose of vinyl peppermint coming out in the early part of June 2005 Very Happy! The new album, titled "Get Behind Me Satan", I'm guessing will continue the blues/tight & garage rock explorations of Jack & Meg White. The 1st single, "Blue Orchid", is a blistering dose of "Straight Forward" complications of hard rock, very reminiscent of "Seven Nation Army", is released in the UK next Monday (May 30th), but is available NOW for pay download on Apple ITunes (http://www.itunes.com). Here's the tracklisting for the new album and "Blue Orchid" Single too:

*BLUE ORCHID SINGLE TRACKLISTING*

1. Blue Orchid
2. Who's A Big Baby?
3. You've Got Her In Your Pocket [Live in Belfast, Northern Ireland- 25/08/04]

*GET BEHIND ME SATAN TRACKLISTING*

1. Blue Orchid
2. The Nurse
3. My Doorbell
4. Forever For Her (Is Over For Me)
5. Little Ghost
6. The Denial Twist
7. White Moon
8. Instinct Blues
9. Passive Manipulation
10. Take, Take, Take
11. As Ugly As I Seem
12. Red Rain
13. I'm Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet)

There you go, hope you enjoy the new White Stripes when it comes in a "candy bag" near you Wink! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

The world's best guitarist and the world's worst drummer, as a guy I know once called them. Laughing

I wouldn't know, I haven't listened to them.

they are hit or miss for me. Fell in love with a girl: good (same for the joss stone cover). Elephant: decent album. New song is ok... Gettin a lot of airplay though. The funny thing is the same radio station that plays the White Stripes also plays a lot of music from the Von Bondies. When I think of the Von Bondies I automatically think of the time when Jack White kicked the crap out of... well if you don't known the story look it up on the net.

Enter in a search the words: "Jack" "White" "Von Bondie"

An interesting story...

I agree Sparkles... I put the album on & totally switch off. It drifted over me totally: it never even registered with me when it had finished!! LOL

buffaloman_R Hello again, buffaloman_R

Very Happy I bought the new White Stripes album (on CD trade) at midnight on this past Tuesday morning and boy it is AWESOME Very Happy! "Get Behind Me Satan" DEFINITELY has the properties to be in "Album of the Year" consideration. The Whites have taken sort of a Roy Ayers instrumental direction by utilizing a xylophone on 2 of the new songs, with well placed drumset breaks scattered throughout (Also...RETURN OF BASS IN WS MUSIC!). The highlights are: My Doorbell, Little Ghost, The Denial Twist & Blue Orchid. So pick it up today! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
