NEW RELEASE: Roy Ayers Virgin Ubiquity Volume II!
Hello,
I have been meaning to post about this new Ayers find, and believe me, it is a REAL treasure . The 2nd edition of Unreleased Gems from Roy Ayers "Virgin Ubiquity" series is out NOW, and really showcases the deeper vibes of Ayers musical explorations! I picked it up and it is REALLY much more widespread and exciting than the Volume 1 of it. Here's the tracklisting:
ROY AYERS VIRGIN UBIQUITY VOLUME II TRACKLISTING:
1. Holiday
2. I Am Your Mind (Part 2)
3. Funk In The Hole
4. Liquid Love
5. Third Time
6. Tarzan
7. I Like The Way
8. Come To Me
9. Kwajilori
10. Release Yourself
11. Touch Of Class
12. Wide Open
13. Sunshine (Demo)
This edition DEFINITELY has more highlights than it's first edition, the hypnotic summer jet song "Holiday", the dirty funk of "Tarzan", the drummer disarray of "Come To Me" and the jaw-dropping first demo of "Sunshine" ("Everybody Loves the Sunshine") . I highly suggest any Ayers fan to pick up this CD NOW, I just hope the 3rd incarnation of the "Virgin Ubiquity" series is as exciting as the 2nd one. Here's some links online to where you can buy it :
