The Jamily Wikipedia Project
Some sites do a very good job of providing jamiroquai information and resources like news, downloads, discography etc, but nowhere is there a comprehensive database of information on all aspects of the band. I propose we use wikipedia...
---------------------------------------------------------
www.Wikipedia.org is the largest online community-based encyclopedia. Anyone can change, edit, or add to the articles in the encyclopedia (u don't even need to register or anything like that). It is a formal and very useful resource, and stupid, wrong, or otherwise poor-quality additions quickly get deleted or edited by other people, thus preserving the integrity of the encyclopedia.
---------------------------------------------------------
...because everyone can add information in their area of expertise and edit it freely. Besides, its a fun activity for the jamily to undertake because we can all contribute, as well as being beneficial to jamiroquai and the public who might look to the site for information. Even if your english isn't great you can still add info and others will fix it up for you!
If we all do a bit, we can make the Jamiroquai section huge, and it will be featured on 'article of the week' .... a great advertisment for the band and for jamirotalk
Tell me what you think of the idea, I have begun expanding on and creating some new articles and sub-articles etc and welcome all input!

I've already edited the Dynamite page at Wikipedia to have some more information. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. This is weird... I had basically the same idea, like... yesterday I think? I use Wikipedia and the other sister projects on a regular basis and thought it would be a great way of creating indeed a kind of Jamiroquai database, with entries on songs, band members, albums, etc...
So I support this 100000%! When do we start???!!!!! |
