Complete videos collection DVD.
I would say it is about time. Any word on if they have mentioned it or not? I say we start a petition. _________________ IT'S A PLANETARY....GOOD VIBE ZONE.....

Hello,
Well, DVD collections of all 34 Jami videos, burnt through either Video CDs or DVD-Rs, have been changing hands amongst Jami Fans through Mail trading for a long time . But IF Sony/BMG had the foresight on releasing the complete Jami videography, I think it would be released about the time of the purposed "Greatest Hits" compilation that had been a continuing rumour for years. JK even commented that Sony wanted to put out a Greatest Hits compilation, and a companion DVD Collection of their video would the most logical step to compliment it with. But reluctant JK still think it's a premature idea for Sony to be springing this idea up, and I tend to agree with JK, Jamiroquai have only been around 13 years so far. I still think they have ALOT of more classic music stirring in them till then. Anyway, if you want a compilation of the Jami Videos via unofficial means, consult some fans here on Talk like SmellBob (http://www.geocities.com/jamoke1717) and others, I'm sure they would be glad to organize some trade with you. Thanks for listening and Peace !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

I agree with Jamirofan. They wanted to release a Greatest Hits as the sixth album, I think. I really REALLY don't want them to do this at all, certainly not if such a compilation took up one of the 8 albums Jay's contracted to Sony for. I want NEW stuff, not just one CD with a load of songs on that I already have (though needless to say when it does eventually come out I'll almost certainly buy it). I also hope, more importantly, that's it's NOT a 'Greatest Hits' - I think Jami would have much more justice done to them by Sony releasing a 'Best Of'. I mean, a Jamiroquai Greatest Hits would include Deeper Underground (their only UK #1), Supersonic (4th most expensive music vid OF ALL TIME!), Love Foolosophy etc... whereas a 'Best Of' could cut these (lesser, IN MY OPINION) tracks out and include instead such pieces of genius as Revolution 1993, Mr. Moon, Funktion, and some unreleased stuff.
As for the DVD, I've wanted one for a long time, but again, I'd rather have ALL the videos on one DVD - therefore, I'd like it to come out AFTER JAMIROQUAI HAS CEASED TO BE. As David reported on the Funkin site, there's a DVD on the videos of Jonathan Glazer coming out (I think) next month. The VI video is included on it, so look out for that (if you want to see David's article on it, it's in Funkin's news archive from May).

Now you are talking about a "Greatest hits" album. But I don't want a DVD with only the greatest hits on it.
I want them all on DVD!!! |

Hello there,
As for what I heard recently (in Jay's interviews) I bet a double greatest hits album will be released next. I'm looking for something like The Chemical Brothers released, The Singles album with 2 new tracks and the DVD featuring all the videos. I would like to have all videos in DVD, that's all.
