311
Seein them live on Friday 8/14 in Kansas City. These guys own live!!!! Papa Roach is opening for them, so it should be a kickass show rain or shine. They aren't coming to Minneapolis, so once again I gotta take another road trip... blah!
I've wanted to see these guys for so long that I've decided to give up my Coldplay tickets (playing the next day in Wisconsin) to do so. I've already seen them once, and I figure they'll be famous a lot longer than 311 and will have many chances to see them again, so I gotta let Coldplay go this time.
There was an offtopic post, or maybe it was posted in this "other musicians" topic group on here, but the subject was "8 albums that changed your life" or something like that. 311's self-titled album made that lsit for me, because it introduced me to this great band, and their great live sets. IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE THESE GUYS, DON'T PASS IT UP!!!! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

You know Bass Master, I didn't see this comment until now, but maybe you're right... At least worldwide. Maybe 311 in everywhere outside the U.S. is treated like Jamiroquai is in America: Non-existent.
I think since the TWM album 311 copies sounds just about right for how many Jamiroquai albums have been sold in the U.S. Y'all are missin out on some good music if you don't wanna listen to them. But I'll be enjoying my Friday in Kansas City (a major midwestern U.S. city, right on the borders of Kansas and Missouri), and Saturday will be a fun road trip day.
Hope your guys' weekend will be a fun as mine. Peace! _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

lol at least someone here likes them.
Have a good weekend guys. I leave in 4 hours and will be driving for about 6-7 hours to get to KC. Than the show, and maybe back home tommorow, or maybe a stop in Iowa on the way... _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I love 311! "Soundsystem" was the CD that got me into the band, but all of them are great. |
