JMQ not the only ones with problems to crack into the US
Hello Jamirotalkers,
I found an interesting article that, at some point, it has a relation with Jamiroquai and their lack of success in the States. It is about the release of the new Robbie Williams' album:
No US release for Robbie Williams' Intensive Care?
Robbie Williams has finally given up trying to crack the States - by refusing to release his new album there.
The pop idol - who has so far failed to find success in the US - claims he would be "mental" to want to find fame in America because it is the only place he can walk around unrecognised.
So he has vowed not to release new record 'Intensive Care', which goes on sale in the UK next month, over there.
Robbie, who spends most of his time living in Los Angeles, explained: "I would have to be mental to invite what I have in the rest of the world to the States, which is really that last place I can walk the streets unmolested.
"The only way one of my albums is going to get into an LA record store is if I leave it there myself."
Meanwhile, Robbie has slammed rumours his record label, EMI, put pressure on him to crack America because of his 80millionGBP deal.
He told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I've sold 38million albums. This album, at worst, is going to take me over the 40million quid mark. EMI make three quid a record. You do the maths. They have already recouped."
Hopefully, 'Dynamite' will do the same 'TWM' did in 1997

Robbie Williams has never been able to crack the U.S. market. Another is Kylie Minogue. They just don't. Some latin singer named Thalia I think has also had problems... Does that name sound familiar? I think her name was Thalia (and no, Im not confusing her with Selena). _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

I honestly don't know Edgar!
Shakira, on the other hand, is having a lot of success... at least Jamiroquai had their glory!

yes that's true!!!!
let's be realistic... jamiroquai days are gone...
Jamiroquai must try to get in latin america, not US... they have Europe and Asia on their hands... now try latin america, we really like them... but most latinamericans doesn't know them... that's a shame... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
