By the way, who's sneaking in with a camera to take some pics of the concert tomorrow? Because I only got a cam on my cellphone, but that ain't much quality... _________________

I just got home from an amazing night. I got to meet the band and talk a bit with everyone. Jay promised me they'd play a different song tomorrow. We talked about High Times and Black Devil Car. They reheared the last song today so maybe we get lucky tomorrow.
Jay told me they would be touring again next year! Great news!
All of them were very nice. I'm still so excited. But i better go to sleep now, my daughter will wake me up in a few hours.
Hi to Adidas! It was nice meeting you. We didn't get to talk afterwards but i hope you enjoyed it too! *wave*
Hi KrissKross: I saw you because of your awesome t-shirt. You had good seats. Hope you enjoyed it too!
Hi, see you tomorrow Jeroen!

Hey everyone, seems to have been good...
Ester, how did you get to meet the band? You had backstage passes? Now I almost feel bad for going to the Frankfurt concert instead of the Rotterdam one! lol _________________ The name's Rob, just Rob |

A marvelous gig! It was Dynamite!
And an almost perfect setlist!
Are there any good-quality pics? Cause I only have some made with my bad-quality cellphone-cam, and you only see a lot of colored lights
@ezzi: yeah, I had a pretty good place after all. But still, next time I want to be in de arena. I must say I was amazed it wasn't that crowdy when the doors opened. If you was in time, it was no problem to get in front of the stage...
And how did you meet the band???
@all the peepz visiting Brussels today: enjoy! _________________

Well 'cos I didn't realise there was another topic...here's my story:
Well...just came out of a nice "hangover". What a night Yesterday!!!
The band was amazing, the crowd was superb...ahh I wanna go back in time and do it all over again!
The big day started at 2 o'clock: going to Rotterdam! Nice weather, so top down of my convertible with dynamite blowing out of my speakers. As entering the Ahoy', there were only 5 people waiting, so I was guaranteed of a front row. AGAIN!!! haha!
After some hours of talking with the other fans who were waiting, reading some magazines to kill time, and listening to my Ipod, stacked with Jam songs the time was there to get in. Ticket in my left hand, bag in the other hand to let it search through as quick as possible, I took a sprint to the front row. And there we were again, a bit left from the middle. But perfect spot to see it al.
During waiting inside, there was a DJ keeping the crowd "busy". Well, I'll send an email to the Jamiroquai organisation, 'cos what he did; I can do too. Be hé, we weren't there for him, so I won't complane too much
And then the show started...wow how great to see Jay and the rest of the band again. And girls, did you see the improvement of Jay's mussles? GOD! He's been working out as hell I think, yees.
Well I have to say that it was a great show with lots of "oldies" combined with the new album. Perfect combination I have to say. But I have the feeling that I missed some great songs. I was stunned when it was finished. Feels like the concerts are getting shorter every year
The lights were amazing, specially the video wall..WOW! but the sound, hmm what to say about that. Ususally your blown away by the sound. But this year it wasn't that loud at all. and the quality wasn't that good too. And the most shamefull was that you could see that Jay was irritating by it too. He keps giving the sound-technicsion hints with his hands and a few times he ran of stage to talk to him. There was one time that I thought to see, that Jay was doing it himself. Well Jay, time to buy yourself a new soundman?
Well I can do all funny about it, but I really felt awfull about it, 'cos you could see that Jay was not with his head at the crowd, but constantly listening and directing to get the sounds improved. I can understand what he must have felt. Breaks with only the keyboards, were hardly heard. And then you see Jay,making a gesture of a keyboard and then one to "pump it up". Sometimes I looked at the backing vocalists, and saw there mouths moving, but didn't hear a thing. Ow how frustrating it must be when you want to give a good show and your soundman apparently does not know your songs thát well, that he knows when to improve the sounds of a keyboard or drum.
Ok enough about that.
The most surprising of the show was that Jay came off the stage at one time and started shaking hands with the front row!!! And I have it all on video. I had my phone with me, which has a camera, so when I saw that he jumped off, I put my phone in my right hand and reached out my other hand to shake it!! And we did!! My back is killing me thanks to this moment, because the complete "standing arena" was hanging on my back to try and get a glimps or touch of Jay too.
So you can understand, that this made my day and many others
Well, it was a wild day/evening again. And I hope that there will be many days like these to come!
Pictures will follow later and maybe I can put the video on it as well (of "the shaking-happening")
And JamiroKASan Ezzi, Nice to have met you!!!

Thanks Adidas for your great review!!!
(I will delete the double topic then, ok? )
This problems with the sound/soundtechnician sound so familiar to me... ... same in Berlin and Frankfurt. And at many other concerts, telling from all the reviews I have read. That's really annoying.
Good to know that you had a great night anyways!!

Yep Adidas, I can't say it any better about the soundquality. I thought it was just me (maybe something wrong with my ears thanks to the loud Jamiroquai-music in my car during the 3 hour trip to Rotterdam), but (unfortunately) it wasn't just me.
Jay was definitely irritated by it, 'cause I was standing on the left side of the stage with a clear view at the soundsman. And the few times Jay dissapeared from the stage he was arguing with him. I even saw Jay making some desperate hand-moves. He was clearly not happy (actuely while arguing with the soundman he seemed really upset/angry.
The minor soundquality was a pitty, but overall it was a great night! _________________

Hey KrissCross,
Yep I know your were on the left side of the stage, I saw your shirt...!
I was in front row and could see the soundman too. Aargh I get a bit mad when I think about this man.
Well I heard about you not having standing tickets, did you have a great time as well on the sitting tribune? 'Cos at one time I was looking at the "seaters" and half of them was still in their seats. I thought COMMON' GET UP AND DANCE!!!
Well nive to have seen the face behind the picture, or should I say nice to have met theT-shirt behind the picture?
