Yep, I know the meanings, and let me just say: I'm a bender who likes to go on a bender. Wink

I'm only 18, but that's old enough for Europe (why is the USA so conservative?!). I'd like to move there....not for the drinking, and not for the cheeba, but just because it's so damn nice.

Up to 198.....you're driving me up there.

You got 3 years to wait??! Totally unreasonable!

Why does the US have 21 as the age? Is this in all states?

I think 18 is just about right.

When I was 21 I was married and had a baby on the way - lol - maybe if I hadn't been able to drink I wouldn't have been in that position? (I met my then-husband in a pub, I trod on his foot - unfortunately it was in plaster).

Which parts of Europe do you want to travel too?

I'd like to see more of the US - I've only done the touristy thing and been to Florida.

A bender.....
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

Well....me on a bender, almost correct Wink! Still been interesting to see how this topic has been playing. I mostly picked up my British slang terms from patrons at work, such a wealth of knowledge sitting in those bar stools drinking their days away. Sometimes I say "Muda" at work when it looks there's no foreseeable end to a hard night of work. I get a few awkward turns of the heads from my cohorts, but they never questioned my language. Oh well, that blows the dust off the ranting for this post. Thanks for listening and take care!

Saying "Muda" to a dreaded day of hard work,

I say "muda" when a party of 10 people walk in to
the restuarant at 10 minutes before closing....

Yeah, all states that want Federal funding have to comply. In Louisiana, they make more money from alcohol purchases made by people 18-21 than they would receive from the national government. But I believe every other state the law is 21. I think it's ridiculous....we can drive at 16, smoke, vote, and die for our country at 18, but we can't drink 'til 21. I think more people drink underage than legally anyway.

I've been to Germany and Britain, but I'd love to live just about anywhere. I'd like to visit Holland I think. I'm coming to England and Scotland for a couple of weeks this summer. Can't wait!

Speaking of that, I'm going to be in London for a few days, and I was wondering.....is the Acid Jazz studio still around? I was thinking about picking up a shirt, or maybe just seeing the place.

Killer Freddie....
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

That's pretty cool your going abroad for the summer, Freddie, I hope you have a good time! You should pick up more Jamiroquai stuff than just a shirt, maybe those DVD singles from AFO OR the double LP of "EOPE" on vinyl with the extended stuff, but I figure money might be a problem. If you take pictures of your Jamiro-journey, I would be honored to host them on my site, please e-mail me at JamiroFan2000@yahoo.com if your interested Smile! Again, have a fun time, and I hope your able to visit all of the spots of Merry Ol' England! Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

200 POSTS!!!!!!!!

Thank you to all my fellow jamirotalkers, without whom all this talking would not be possible (and smellbob, beat you to it! Laughing)

Anyway, legalizing weed in Canada? Again, USA is left in the dust of the revolution. Well, maybe a little trip North of the Border is a healthy thing every once and a while, eh?

Can't say I'll be making a jamiro-journey, as much as I'd like to. I'll be touring all over Britain and Scotland, mostly historical sites (which I love doing). But, I will be chillin in London for a few days so I figured I'd try to see some things (like the Acid Jazz studio) and maybe pick up some not-found-in-America merchandise.

Peace.

Excellent - you'll love England & Scotland - which parts are you going to?

Ask Ezbe or another Londoner about the Acid Jazz studio - I have no idea, to be brutally honest Smile - but someone will give you an idea of where to go.

I live in carrot crunching country - we've never heard of acid jazz - it's all barn dances and straw chewing Very Happy.
