hmmmm, i've seen the clip several times now. the characterdesign is one thing, but what kinda bothers me is a. jays movement doesn't fit the character at all. and they've used motion capturing for that and couldn't come up with something better? and b. it seems they've been using the same animationtracks over and over and over and over again. they said that it wasn't the final cut so i'm waiting for the full version... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. i absolutelly love the video (the clip) it's so funny
theres a part wich reminds me to around the world by daft punk, with all the monsters walking around the round place.... |
Thats exactly what I thought too!!
I like the clip. I'm just so glad the same route as the Gorillaz videos wasn't followed as I'm really not a fan of those. I liked the simplicity of it without all the extra fancy effects thrown in... |

Well I hate to break the semi-positive vibe going on here but I really have to throw it out; I think it sucks!
That said, I do really enjoy the track, I think it's one of the top 3 of the album.
Doing an animated video could bring something really cool, but to me, this just looks plain ridiculous. Mainly Jays character. If people ought to take the message of the song seriously, I'd suggest a different approach to a video clip.
I did find that "disapproving of coloured people"-part funny, though.
Just yesterday I was showing a friend of mine the old Jamiroquai videos I have, and I was thinking to myself that the shots used in the When You Gonna Learn? video really do the trick. Sure, it's not high profile. On the contrary; it's pretty cheap in the make! But it sure does bring out the message. So something similar for this song would have been great. Also, featuring the whole band would be a good idea as well.
On a side note...maybe Jay & Co. didn't have any time to do another video clip because of the extensive touring (Jay did have time to do the 3d thing, though...hmm...) _________________ The name's Rob, just Rob |

Wonderful video! Something different!
It's very funny when the gorillas sing "Togheter" at the beginning
I neither think this is the final cut, I think the part when says "Why do we see these colors" is a little long, you can understand the meaning whitout repeating the animation 3 times.... |

The video is great IMHO . I don't like the "jay-like" character... especially the shades _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

Oh cool, just saw it one time... have to see it a few more times, though. But my first impression is quite good.
Do you guys know that cartoon from the 70ies? That little always moaning man "La Linea" from the italian cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli? That animated man was made of only one line and the drawer was always drawing things on the screen and deleting them again with a rubber - just like you can see it in the (D)GHAC video! I am pretty sure that "La Linea" was one of the inspirations for the new video!! It reminds me A LOT to that old cartoon.
Here you can see some videos of "La Linea"

I'm seeing some different things being said about this clip, so does anyone know if this is actually a real video clip that we will be able to see at channels such as MTV? Or is it just a promo video? _________________ The name's Rob, just Rob |

is good to see that jamiroquai again shows against militars and politicans in the vid, and also against a king!
still there are parts that i don't understand what happens, like on th efinal part with the "islamic" people and the white people..... _________________

Hello there,
I thought it was gonna get a lot much better, but I like it anyways. I still don't understand some parts too, but I like the background, how it changes the colours, that looks terrific!
And you can notice is motion capture, those are Jay's movements, not only when he dances, but also when he walks! Is so Jay!
Yeah, I'm pleased with the video... it stands out while you're changing music channels.
