I dont see why black eyes peas have to change "phunk" to "mess" ... Take eminem for instance... he doesnt even bother using words that sound like naughty words but they dont get censored? _________________

Hello,
You know, I have tried 3 separate times, with the help of collaborations of fellow fans, to get out homemade Dynamite Flyers here in the States to American music fans . But the drawback has been that every time thereafter I would have gotten them out, the release date that I had printed on them would go obsolete due to a damned delay by Sony/BMG. But I will swallow my pride and try to flood my local "Clear Channel Radio Station Owned" with requests for "FJLIS" to be played, but I have a bad feeling that they won't play it. I mean, they are intoxicated musically with the god awful 3rd album from the Black Eyed Peas, who thought a sample of a galloping horse in the base melody would be some darned listenable! Anyway, I will try on my end to get more attention to Jamiroquai, if we all try in different ways, I know we will be successful ! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 |
You could be pleased to hear that here in L.A., KCRW (89.9 FM) has been playing "Feels just like it should" at least once a night since last week. I cannot see how any of the new Jamiroquai material can be played on commercial American radio, as it is not the usual pop/urban crap that gets over and over and over played....Virtual Insanity may have made the top40, but the quality of radio crap has been getting lower and lower since then..... |

Hello again,
Yeah, I had heard FJLIS played on a local college radio station by accident a few months back . By the way, welcome to Talk JakeTheSnake, hope you have a great time here, make some invaluable Jamirofriends and contribute alot of great info to the Forum! Yeah, hearing that FJLIS is playing on American Radio is I guess a little start to getting the collective attention of the American Music Public back into "TWOM" fashion...hehe. I want over anything a modest success for Jami in the Fall for Dynamite, not a bludgeoning by MTV and other music outlets over them. But as always, baby steps for all foreign music in the States, thanks for the info mate. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

Didn't get a chance to thank you, sorry for being impolite.
I love this website and your entries are really informative and colorful. I just do not participate much, hope to do better!
In Los Angeles, FM 89.9 or KCRW keeps playing Jamiroquai songs on a daily (nightly actually) basis and even most remixes. However, Dynamite is not having any airplay on pop radios - not cheesy enough I suppose!
This is quite concerning...how do Jamiroquai and their corporate promoters hope to conquer America in the same manner they took on Europe? certainly not just by placing buffalo man posters at random intersections!
With all that time devoted to stupid cars and retarded videos maybe JK should spare some for a minimum of marketing research haha
well, just a thought, with a good dose of jealousy for such a great band's success |

I'm afraid our german music channel Viva doesn't play music anymore since that Viacom thing, but maybe we get some Dynamite stuff into the Get The Clip list of Viva Plus so that we can vote for the songs. Write a mail to community@vivaplus.tv |
