They´re playing in a bullfighting stadium
Jamiroquai is playing in a bullfighting stadium in Spain this summer but, why?
I´m sure that all of them are against bullfighting. Maybe they don´t know that the concert will be in such a bad place...
Have they lost their freedom or it´s just for the money? |

Maybe they don't know in which place the management booked the concert? I don't know how these things are handled??
And what are you going to do? - do you want to boycott the concert? |

Nah, I cannot boicot anything. I´m not sure if I´m going to the concert or not, anyway (It´s in Mallorca, an Island in the Mediterranean sea, and it´s very difficult for me to get arrive there). But someone should shout them something about that when they start playing in the stadium. |

Oh, I didn't know that they have bullfighting stadiums in Mallorca too. I thought they are just in Spain/Continent and South France. Yes, someone should tell them about it - but who??
Btw - does anybody know where the guys are at the moment?? Is Jay still in Italy?? Or are they rehearsing for the concerts ? |

Gilipollez supina.
What a bunch of stupidities. They are playing in a bullfighting ring, so what?
If you remember, JK said in 1999. "Bullfighting is horrible, I'll never play again in Spain".
Ok,let's see:
·He's blaming spanish people for bullfighting, even if only a little portion of people actually supports it.
·He ACTUALLY played in Spain after that statement.
·Fox hunting in England is as cruel as bullfighting, and oh dear, JK and it's sideshow band are still playing in England...
·Y'all should know that he's playing for money, do you think he can reject a concert just because of the place, so easily with his huge cocaine consumption?
·Boycott the concert? yeah sure, try it and a hundred of bouncers and their grandmas will be kicking your ass.
Sorry if I have been a bit harsh, but this whole "bullfighting" thing related to jamiroquai is so hypocritical...
And oh, this is my first post, hello everybody. |

Hey Carcamel - you're not very friendly!! I hope it's just because of this topic....and this topic isn't stupid. It's really worth thinking about. Nobody blames all Spanish people for bullfighting that's a stupid thing to tell!! Although nobody blames all English people for fox hunting. And boycotting the gig was not meant earnestly So cool down your Spanish blood and enjoy the summer!!! |

Que garrulos sois xD
Nobody blames all Spanish people for bullfighting that's a stupid thing to tell!!
JK did, and then punished us without any gig during the Synkronized tour, but money won ethics, or whatever...
But hey, I'm no genius by discovering that JK has more mouth than brain
And by the way, it's not that I'm not friendly is just that this topic lights me up, specially when it's related to jamiroquai.
Cheers! |

I didn't know that he did! But Jay seems to have the right touch to offend sensibilities of other people (like the Welsh last year in Teneriffa) especially when he is drunk I think you shouldn't take it too serious. And that they played last year in Spain shows that it wasn't meant serious I don't think that it has too much to do with money - they know that they have many Spanish fans (ok - fans are also profit for the bands - so it still has something to do with money ) But I really didn't know that they didn't play gigs in Spain on the Synchronized Tour..... Hm so would you go to a concert in a bullfighting arena?? |

eres una abrazafarolas ;)
Hm so would you go to a concert in a bullfighting arena??
Most concerts in Spain and South France are usually done in bullfighting arenas so, Yes, I would go to the concert without any remorse.
·I'm killing bulls? no
·I'm supporting it? no, you're attending to a concert, not a bullfighting
·If I don't go to a bullfighting ring will they stop killing bulls?
No,bullfighting has millenary roots,I'm not stopping in a day what hasn't been stopped in almost 1000 years.
·There's not a better place to go? renting bullfighting rings is cheaper than stadiums, and the seating capacity is better adjusted to the real sales of tickets (bf ring 5000+ vs 30.000+ stadium)
And remember what the stock market teach us, a single person don't make a change in the market. So, by not going to the concert all you are getting is the angry of missing a jamiroquai gig. You aren't going to change anything :P
Cheers! |

Ok, ok, you convinced me!!! And I would also go to a Jami gig in a bullfighting stadium. But there's no gig here in the Nord-West of Germany - but also no bullfighting stadium |

carcamal has indeed brought up some good points there, very thought-provoking... i would have just boycotted the damn thing without any second thoughts! 20 years old and still living up the naive life... thanks carcamal! |
