Last nite, on DVD, i watched "Secret window, secret garden" with Johnny Depp and Maria Bello, based on a novel by the great, and i underline great Stephen King.
A very psychological thriller movie, with a magnificent interpretation of Depp
and now

That movie was great! (Secret Window).
My boyfriend hated it. He hates all of those psychological freaky ones. Laughing

Yeah, 'Secret Window' was very interesting.

Did anyone see 'The Party'? An old comedy with Peter Sellers?

Birdy nam nam! Howdy partener! Laughing

There are so many movies I love I can't even begin to list them all.

But I can name just a few movies that are special to me. Off the top of my head...

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
The Party
Goldfinger
Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi
Godfather, Godfather II (the third is ok)
Le Grande Bleu
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
Where Eagles Dare
The Eagle Has Landed
The Dirty Dozen
La Musica Cubana

There are more... but I won't bore you. Wink

my favorite movies..hmmm..off the top of my head.

hotel rwanda
goodwill hunting
the wiz
truman show
a time to kill
hope floats
school daze
kids
coming to america
fight club
beat street
and the band played on
west side story

like jonas said, don't want to bore you.. Smile

and, i really wasn't feeling brokeback mountain like everyone else. it was just ok, but not fantastic to me. i think the movie 'transamerica' was way better but it really got no love from people and came out the same time as BM. felicity huffman was marvelous and for once the plight of transgendered people were brought to light in a comedic, but realistic undertone way.

My recommendation: "The Matador." Great, funny film.

what's eating gilbert grape

phenomenal...i re-discovered it today. johnny depp, leonardo and juliette lewis are so good in this movie. so good!

leonardo's oscar nomination for this movie is well deserved. classic performance that beats titanic anyday.
