Nick left Jamiroquai - New Bassist is already chosen
Hi all!
As the rumours are slowly being confirmed on some fan-news-sites, I guess I can tell you now, what I heard...
Nick has left Jamiroquai this summer.
A new bassist is already chosen. His name is ALEX.
This news will be officially confimed at the concert in Istanbul/Turkey on 20th september.
I will tell you more, as soon as I can. (hungry baby on my arms ...not so easy to type and concentrate)

Alex
Sorry, but I don't know anything about Alex, besides he is playing bass.
Let's wait and see... I am sure we will get more details soon. _________________ ~ I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine.

Ahhh....NOOOO!!!
(Upon reading CosmicMouse's post, slaps a box of Kleenex on tables, rips open the box and starts dabbing the tears off face )
Hello, :bm_r:
...*Wipes eyes* Man, that is bad news, I was just starting to get used to Nick on bass! In reflection on my address post, well, I feel sheepish , I was hoping the rumour wouldn't end up being true. Oh well, that how the JK masterhood crumbles, I wish Nick good luck on his future plans and further success on his career ! I have to admit, that picture of Nick on Frenchiroquai is pretty nice and somber at the same time, so I scoured Google trying to find a like picture to put on this post, and sure enough I found one! Thanks for listening and Good luck Nick and Hello Alex!! Peace!
Will never forget Nick's contribution to Jamiroquai,

Alex? wow.........
Alex? It could be Alex Katunich, ex-bassist of Incubus, but I don't think so.
Everybody calls him Dirk Lance and he likes jazz and funky, he play a lot of funky stuff and everything. It'd be funny.
Bye, Nick, good luck. _________________

Still see no reliable source for these rumours, cos thats what they are, so I'll be waiting for that before I say goodbye to Nick.
Btw, it would be strange though, there were some recent pics of Jay with Nick...they seem to be good friends, and I dont really think that Nick left Jami cos of a fight, or mcos of a better offer or something. So I wonder what it is then. And he wasn't becomming thát populair either, like some people were saying. And Jay is not that bad either... _________________ The name's Rob, just Rob |

You are right Funkie Junkie! :2yes:
... I am just a cosmic mouse.
Of course we will have to wait for an official confirmation of the management, or until we see the new man playing with the band. I am sure the 20th will clear up things.
Anyway, I decided not to be so pessimistic. Sure, it is sad to say "Goodbye Nick", but I am also curious what the new boy will be like , and I hope he will even improve the sound of Jamiroquai.
Life goes on.
And so will Jamiroquai. :bm_r:
A goodbye is always a start of something new.

Alex, huh? What a GREAT NAME!!!!!! (maybe I'm a little biased.....for the record, my name isn't Freddie). Anyway, I suppose it's too bad Nick is gone, but I'm sure this new guy will be great. I would absolutely LOVE for Alex to be a temporary fill-in until STU comes back! It's encouraging to see that Jay and Stu aren't at odds anymore. I thought Stu had his own project coming along, but I haven't heard about it in quite a long time.
Well, let's hope everything is going well with this transition. Can't wait to hear the results.
Cheers! |

Mmm.. I doubt Stu will be returning..
When I first read the letter from David Rowe on Jamline about Nick, It seemed unreal. But as I read more and more talk of it, It just gets more true every time.
I don't understand how Nick could walk away from such a promising future. Of course we don't know anything about the situation or if it's even true or not, but it just doesn't make sense. I'm sad, dissapointed and angry all at the same time and I'm hoping that this is just a stupid rumour.
As Mr. Rowe had said, we'll see in Istanbul.

P.S.. Nothing to do with this subject, but, My heart goes out to the family of actor John Ritter who sadly passed away last night _________________

I doubt Stu'll come back, too. But there's always hope.
As long as we're talking about losses, I think we should remember the loss of the lengendary Johnny Cash, who also died last night. |
