Herbie Hancock
I've just downloaded some tunes from Herbie. They are realesed during 1974-1976 and...they are simply hot! Great funky, try to listen and let me know.....

Ah, man, Herbie is one of my favourite piano players! He's just great! (and he's got 10 'Grammy's by the way Wink )

Chameleon and the rest of 'Head Hunters' sounds great (I'm listening to it as I type, actually), until you hear the album he did afterwards, 'Thrust'. It may not seem possible, but it's even better!

Attn: Herbie Hancock Fans
My friends over at RopeADope (www.ropeadope.com) have just posted a podcast featuring Herbie Hancock that is available for legal download. If you dig Herbie, I suggest heading over there and checking it out.

Here is the description:

HERBIE HANCOCK PODCAST #2

mr. Max Schlueter is back as he once again opens the vaults to his private stash of live herbie hancock including some classic headhunters (circa 1975), some 1977 stuff with jaco, plus herbie's various bands from 1978-1980. this is some super classic music that has never seen the light of day (outside of max's house) until now (thankyou ropeadope! thankyou max schlueter!).

It's the 2nd news item down on the RopeADope site (see above), and the link to download is in the last sentence.

Enjoy, Deesh
