While you're waiting...
A little demo track I made. It's got some drum samples sampled from an ugly old Technics keyboard, Mellotron flute samples, Morgan jazz bass, a shaker, a beer bottle and the Moog MG-1.
It's just a track I made for my band, to get them to play it.

Here's one that isn't finished yet, but I'll post it anyway:

It's an instrumental called Peace Potato.
No bass yet, just D6 clavinet, ARP Quartet strings and brass (solo), programmed drums and 12-string guitar.

I have a suitcase Rhodes mk1 88 that I've voiced to sound as close to Herbie's and Toby's as I can... I'm no different to so many people on here - Jamiroquai wasn't the same for me after Toby Smith (and Stuart Zender) left. I don't envy the guys who've replaced them since - you have to make the parts your own rather than be a copycat but even if you do a good job, you're always going to be compared to your predecessor by thousands of fans...
Having said that, I know most of the classic Jamiroquai tracks note for note, and I wonder what it would have been like if somebody like me, who could play exactly what Toby played, had got the place in the band after he left? Probably quite boring after a few gigs!
Anyway, I've recorded a few videos on youtube that you can listen to here, I'll take requests if there are any other tracks you want me to do!
