Interesting indeed! Suddenly something I've been thinking about seems much more clear. Someone else once told me something very interesting, but it was unlikely that it would happen. Maybe it's not that unlikely after all.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. Soon enough we'll know exactly what this is about. |

...stuart will be back? that would be amazing. Please, someone try to contact Simon Katz, also. The two guys that play now guitar and bass are completely...out! No personality, no sound, nothing! Simply, they AREN'T for Jamiroquai. |

OOOhhh, you've gotta give Paul Turner a chance, he's not doing bad performance wise, and I have it on good authority that he can smile (!!! I have a photo of him SMILING !!!).
And, please be more merciful with regard to Rob - he's a great co-writer - and a wonderful man with the fans !!! And a d@mn good musician too !!!
But that doesn't mean I dont' sorely miss the yester-members of Jamiroquai as much as you, but we can't have everything the way we'd like it.
I'm not going to say anything . . . but what are your comments on Mr. Matt Johnson vs. Mr. Toby Smith accepting that their talents are almost equal but in regard to 'kewlness' and stage presence and performance ??? _________________ Jamily to the bone !!!

Hey Hey! This is the best Jamiroquai formation since the TWM one in my opinion.
Paul Turner is doing an amazing amazing job.
About Rob, like he said, Jay is giving him more credits on the songs.
And the Zender thing... maybe he knows that after the contract Jamiroquai is finished and he's just being ironic??

Diego, I've just wrote about Matt:
"
| Cheeba vibe wrote: |
| ...it's from Montreaux 2003 that Matt is going to play the keyboard parts alone. And that's better: he's a MUSICIAN, not a poor sideman like Simon Carter. The sound now is much ALIVE, and not like "let's-reproduce-all-sounds-like-on-CD".....I've listen to the work of Matt watching the Montreaux 2002 and 2003 perfomances on DVD: if Tobey had a...naif approach to the jazzy world (very brilliant indeed, I love him), Matt is a full respectable musician, very talented: his chords in some versions of "Travelling without moving" or "Alright" (during live improvvisations...) were absolutely brilliant.....(I cannot say the same about Roby, of course...) |
"
(you wrote "Rob - he's a great co-writer ") All you have to do is LISTEN: Rob's result? "Black Devil Car", Matt's results? "Seven days in sunny June".....Nothing to say, Rob is too much rock, he doesn't have the...right touch.....listen to them LIVE, and you will hear the difference between playing and improvising..... |

I love BDC, it took me a while . . . but COTE remains my favourite Jamiroquai song (or at least in the top ten).
COTE makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck every time I hear it.
I think we are blessed to have such varied input into Jamiroquai song writing now.
Imagine if creatively Jamiroquai was stuck in a rut and churning out the same old - same old over and over again ??? Horror.
Variety is the spice of life and the fare of funk.
I salute all past and present band members, for their writing and their live performances. And recognition goes to the back up singers Lorraine, Hazel and Sam who work and sing magnificently during the concerts and have the time and the energy to smile, wave and interact with the crowd. _________________ Jamily to the bone !!!

this was posted in the funkin guestbook tonight...and although the guestbook is pretty crazy at the moment, i do believe this is the "real" matt johnson and kind of goes with this topic

Hi everyone, I just want to let you know we have been working on some new tracks which will be released on our Greatest hits album. Jay is in fine creative form and I think there will be stuff there that will make you all happy. The funk is in full effect! Anyway I am really enjoying the process and I'm excited by these new songs, so I thought I'd share that with you. Lots of love Matt x
