I can't BELIEVE people are saying Just Another Story! I suppose that's because it's one of my all-time favourites by ANY band, for its funkiness, its darkness and the almost prog-rock structure of it. Probably the best OPENING (yes, that's right Argie fans, it's the FIRST track on the 'proper' version of the album!) to any Jami album... So I've never considered it underrated, simply because to my ear it's always been GREAT.
Ones I DO consider underrated, because they're ones I forget about and only remember how much I like them when I hear them again:
- Everyday
- Soul Education (which I forget about because most of that album is so shite!)
- Revolution 1993. In fact, I know exactly how good it was, but I now consider it underrated because I've actually managed to find ONE PERSON who didn't like it before seeing it live - Heather, stand up! One person disliking it, even if they don't any more, is enough to make that song underrated in my opinion.
Heather, my DJ friend (the one who works with the Heavies) plays BYM in his sets. Let me know when you come to Manchester and I'll take you down there!

My list of the most underrated Jamiroquai songs would have to include:
Where Do We Go From Here
Picture Of My Life
Funktion
Travelling Without Moving
Too Young To Die
By "underrated" I mean not enough people (apart from everyone here ) knows about them _________________

Where Do We Go From Here
Planet Home
Black Capricorn Day (there is so much Stevie Wonder in this tune, it is crazy!)

All these tracks are just as top notch as any tracks from Dynamite (the supposed best album since TWM) |

PLANET HOME?! Eeurgh...
I think it was more of a huge letdown after the long wait following TWM than anything. Whenever I listen to Synkronized now I'm surprised by how good it sounds (with the exceptions of PH and Supersonic), but 'between listens' I always seem to recall it in disappointing terms, for some reason...

About 'Synkronized', I'm in a position where I can't judge it. That was my first Quai album, and every time I hear the album, it reminds me to that time of my life, which was so special.
I like every single track on it, cause I heard every single track everytime during 1999, and I can't complain.
It's special to me, I can't judge the album, sorry

I think part of it for me may have been that I was at one of the first two gigs of that year's World Tour (the Birmingham date), which meant that the very first time I heard songs like Soul Education, BCD, Supersonic etc., I was hearing Jamiroquai playing them live in front of me - those two gigs (the other was Brighton) were before the album's release, you see.
So, by comparison, when the album itself landed, and ever since when I've listened to it, it's always been in the shadows of that first ever gig (I'd never seen ANYONE before then, never mind my favourite band) in the eyes and ear of a 15-year-old kid who was somewhat awestruck by what was happening there on stage...
