A Mystery of the "EOPE" Video!
Hello everyone, :bm_r:
Hope all my fellow American fans had a nice and safe Thanksgiving weekend, I must confess, I'm still stuffed from all the turkey. I slept like Rip Van Winkle during most of the weekend, that's what I get for eating four extra portions of turkey! Anyhoo, I watched some of Jamiroquai's past videos from the "EOPE" & "ROTSC" eras, just trying to think of possible hints that could be in store for the highly anticipated 6th album. Then I came to what I think is the weirdest Jamiroquai video of all time, the opus video for "Emergency On Planet Earth". Yeah, the gang is flying through space in the USS Orenda, with JK at the helm wearing a helicopter pilot helmet sucking on a lollipop and the rest of band lounging around the cockpit. One of the weird things is they are growing cannabis on the ship, yeah, even astronauts like horticulture I guess! The rest of the video is mostly of stock footage they probably get around to using in the WYGL & TYTD videos and our EOPE era JK posing and dancing. The latter part of the video is my fav, I love the bittersweet part where JK is standing on the moon looking at the earth then walks away. I would make a educated guess and think this was probably the Jamiroquai video with the biggest budget, but only JK knows the cost of the video. The mystery of the video is at the way end, after the part I mentioned, a "To Be Continued" comes onto the screen. Could JK plan to bring back the second half of this video in the first single from the 6th album? I don't know, hopefully we will have our answers sometime in 2004. Thanks for listening and take care! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

HI
Really EOPE is one of the best videos you can find on the jamiroquai videography. A nice tune with arrangements we miss sometimes. But about the story "To be continued" I think it's just a cassual sentence. We're dreaming with the 6th album get back the oldish jamiroquai's tunes, and we're just confused with some affimations or suppositions about the next album and well, I'm hoping a good work to listen too. But by now, I prefer to forget all said about the new album and believe it will be great. I don't want to have any illusions about it, only wait some months to have it at my hands and begin to enjoy.
Peace of mind! Gonna Dance . _________________ I'm slidin' down the wall

I thought the "To Be Continued..." message at the end of that video was another way of saying "Our Mission to help the world and save the planet will never stop". I stopped thinking there'd be a Part 2 to that video from the TWM days.

I'm gonna have to agree with Ezbe. EOPE was a long time ago.
Peace. |

the next video to be released after EOPE was WYGL (when the song was originally released it was without a video). the videoclip of WYGL looks like a great follow-up to me: at the end of EOPE they arrived the earth due to and SOS transmition. so in WYGL they show the reason for the SOS. J wears there similar clothes to the ones in the scene where he's in some desert (the SOS transmition). I'm having hard time explaining it in english so just watch them one after another and than you'll see WYGL is the diract follow-up of EOPE. _________________
