OK, its not black, but I said there'd be another one and here it is: (sorry for the poor quality of photos):
In this photo you can see the old and the new hats
Its almost finished now, there's still a few bits and pieces to add, but nothing too major. The front is removable too, so you can change the fur to black (which i haven't got )

Ooooh! Your hats are amazing! And the clothing in the first pic almost matches Jay perfectly. And I DIG the shoes!
Great job, keep being creative! |

I really want to have the white AFO jacket, but of course I can't get the real one (and I don't have the first clue about how to make one ) But I have got 5 pairs of trainers of that sort of style (alright, don't laugh )

Well...I thought I was the only one!!!
Great great hats, by the way.
I have made my own hat a few years ago (the same Jay wears in the Love Foolosophy single) and when I get the chance to scan a photo, I will show you my own hat...
PD: What kind of hat will Jay bring us in 2004? |

What kind of hat? Maybe a TIARA! or maybe he will bring us no hat but will have a new totally awesome, sexy hairstyle!
Or...Maybe he'll dye his hair?
OH the possibilities! |

Thanks Diego// Twenty Zero Three!
@missiroquai:
I think he will definitly have a hat though. But do you think he will continue with the American Indian-style hats or have something more simpler? I personally think he will have something simpler, but you can't really predict JK's intentions. I think it will depent on the 'mood' of the album. Whatever he comes up with, i'm sure its gonna be good.

I think a hat like the one he wore in fashion rocks may be ok, but thats right, it depends on the album. |

DIDGIN & Serge: Hat specialists!
Hello, :bm_b:
WOW, I keep getting throughly amazed by your hat making Serge & DIDGIN, great hats!!!! You guys, when you have the time, should leave a post with complete instructions on how to build your own AFO hat, just a idea, I would like to make one, but totally clueless what materials I will need! By the way, one question, have you guys built hats from the other eras of JK Hats? "Synkronized", "TWOM", "ROTSC" & "EOPE"??? Thanks for sharing your hat pictures, you guys are so talented! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 |

I took a black hat, I printed the eagle in the front, I then with the same paper Serge used, I made the main blades. And everything stick together (dont watch it from behind: is awful!). When I had the photo, I will make a diagram like Serge, Jamirofan 2000.
And no, I didnt make the others hats from previous eras. |

Hi Jamirofan,
Firstly, thanks for the great comments! I'll do full instructions tomorrow. It isn't that complicated, all you need is stiff card (like that of big boxes), slightly-less-stiffer card (like that of shoeboxes), fur (here I used my sister's Santa hat which had a white ring of fur arounf it ), silver foil and sticky tape. And also patience and persistance . The hardest part is making the blades stick out symetrically on both sides (and even now they're not 100% symmetrical)
I would try to do the older hats, but I think they're harder to make (esp Synkronized - you would need more materials) I'm also thinking of making a hat of my own if I have time (as a "prediction" of the future JK hat)
Til' tomorrow

Thanks :-)!
Hello again, :bm_b:
COOL...thanks Serge, I can't wait to build my own hat and creep out my co-workers and family members...*just kidding*! Yeah Didgin, I would like to see you attempt in building a EOPE hat, I tried a long time ago in building one, but as usual I couldn't find the right materials ! Thanks for listening and keep the hat creation pictures ! Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Wow! I finally can show you my own AFO hat. I made it a few years ago, but I couldn't put it online until now:
Hope you like it. |
