Rob Harris has bought awesome new guitar !!!
hi!
i am so happy Rob Harris answered my question
on his site about his guitar
the thing is i dont know if you noticed or not
but ROB HAS BOUGHT SUPER COOL GIBSON ES 335 guitar.
i cant wait to hear him playing it!!!!!!!!!
so i asked him about his new gibson.
here's what he wrote to me:
Hi,
I have a Gibson 335 and i used it on a gig the day i bought it in Zurich.Great guitar although it needed a refret when i got it home off tour.I've already used it on recordings and for the rest of the tour.I love this guitar
cheers
Rob
i also play guitars and this guitar is my favourite guitar in the world.
this instrument is a dream for many musicians and is a main guitar of many experienced sophisticated guitarists, it has exclusive warm rich fat old tone and its very expencive.
I know in Rob hands it will sound fantastic!!!!!
Can't wait to hear him playing octaves and chords in Space Cowboy
and other tracks using it!!! and this gibson will be so amazing for his cool solos!
picture of Rob's Gibson ES 335 from his site

dear Rob thank you very much for updating your great site!!!
please can you make a list with exact names of all of your pedals, amps and guitars (i know you have more guitars in your collection than
you have on the pics). i know all the pedals toby smith used, but i still dont know which ones you use.
among other things its very interesting to know if that wah pedal a roger mayer Wah or some other one, and how is that white effect pedal called?
thanks

Edgar, do you remember which tracks did he play on this guitar in Venezuela? |
he played Seven days, use the force... i really don't remember...
but it wasn't that exciting, i mean... i prefer Simon Katz heheheheh
nah he played cool! he's a great guitarist, but i think he excites himself so much when performing, and then he start doing those rocky solos i really hate...
and yes orlando, it's the same one perhaps he's trying to copy Simon!!!! ejehehehe _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

..eh eh , Funkeducation....the answer is simple: he's a rock guitarist, and EVERY rock guitarist excites himself ONLY during solos....they don't play FOR the song beauty, but only to show how speedy they can be...

Well, if Rob is trying to copy Simon, He's not doing that alright heheheh.... just kidding mate, can't help myself...
I do think Rob is a great musician and It's an excelent player, one tree doesn't make a forest... I keep believing that It's the way JK want the tracks to be like...
They're similar, but not the same model... This is ES 335, Simon's 345. |
