Stu and Jamiroquai in Costa Rica...any connection?
The latest rumours are that Stuart is set to return with a project called 'Leroy'. The recording is taking place in Costa Rica with 3 other members, who are currently unkown. The music is supposed to be a cross between Cold Play & Timbaland in style and Stu's bass lines have been descibed as the next shit. It's also been rumoured that Stu does some lead and backgroud vocals on the album too.

The album was suppose to have been finished at the end of May 2003, but we still have'nt heard any material from the group.

Leroy is supposed to made up from these words - 'Loves, Embrace, Rains, Over, You'

The exerpt above was taken from www.bassmaster.co.uk, now unless I'm mistaken wasn't Jamiroquai in Costa Rica recently taking a break and writing some tracks? I'm wondering if there was any liason between Stu and Jamiroquai seeing they could've been in close proximity to each other in Costa Rica....

Hmmm would be cool if Stu would take part in the new album... but who knows if it's not just by chance that Stu is at the same time in Costa Rica as Jamiroquai... Rolling Eyes

Oh right,

What is it with Zender anyway? He hasn't managed to produce any music at all since his departure from Jamiroquai. Sorry Mel Blatt doesn't count...

He did, actually. He made the AZUR album, but it never got released. He also did some work with other artists, like D'Angelo. Unfortunatly, Stu's work never made the final cut of the Voodoo album, however, there is a track with D' on the AZUR album...He also did music with various other artists, just check bassmaster.co.uk. And why doesnt Mel's album count? He and Mel produced and made all the music nd stuff...

Yeah I knew about AZUR, got that 30sec clip...sounded pretty good. I also had a track by Omar which featured some pretty cool Stu Z bass...but I'm wondering why there hasn't been any official bona-fide Stuart Zender music that you can buy in the record store. Mel B doesn't really feature Stuart Z to the same calibre that Jamiroquai did...that's more of a side-project as it's Mel B's music first and foremost, not Stu Z.

Mel came up with the melodies, according to her, and Stu played all the instruments, on most songs...but I know what you mean, its not Stu's music...and I must say, the AZUR album has some pretty cool songs, doesnt sound bad at all, but Stu's gift is his bassplaying abbilities, thats what he should stick with. But I can imagine that he's kinda "bored" with that...I hope that we will hear anything from this Leroy project soon! Or the orignial Synkronized...man, what I wouldnt do to get that one!
