longer than jammi? i dunno but...i do think she is very creative! she is among one some of the best (hip- hop) producers songwriters in the U.S. .. i remember she was part of a producing songwriting team back during the 90's comprised of herself with Timbaland . They rarely sampled (yes, i know she sampeled Morning Glory ty) and were famous for producing their own original catchy popular beats all over...
..i hope that helped a little ..but heres a little 2 links that might help:
one on missy: http://www.hiphopgalaxy.com/missy-elliot-article378.html
and one on timbaland:http://www.hiphopgalaxy.com/timbaland-article2109.html?var_recherche=timbaland
I remember Jay and Missy took some pic for something what was that for ? i dont' remember??
i think both missy and jamiroquai's videos were both real good on
missy is also known too well for her outlandish videos .....she always has dancers in them tho... .....aah im a jami fan so I would have given the grammy to Jamiroquai...they are too talented |

not longer i guess...but same time
she was in an all girl group, sista that was formed in 1990 and signed a contract in 1992. the record label folded and the album never got released.
that production group was her, timbaland and devante (from jodeci) around the time jodeci was peaking..which was the 90's also.
let's not also forget how many songs she's written for other artists that have won numerous awards.
i'm not a missy fan, but i think the award was well deserved. |

thank you for clarifying that deesh! ...im not too familiar with Missy...and im still learning about Jamiroquai so correct me if im wrong on anything! lol
.....Im not saying she didn't deserve this award...i just think she's been honored enough serveral times i think in the past with grammies....
her videos are very creative!!!! people who don't believe need to check them out before u peep a word!!!! very tough competition for any artist to go against. |

i hear you and agree.
i know of missy because of my job. i don't own an album, because i don't like her music, but to call her uncreative - i can't see.
i have a feeling that if jamiroquai would have made the same exact video, people wouldn't be saying it's horrible. ..hhahaha. it's really the in thing to do and "cool" to hate popular music, trends, etc....i don't know why. lol! if you like it, then do it..doesn't matter if it's britney spears (ok, that's stretching it..hahaha) or kayne west really.
it's all good. grammy's don't mean sh*t. we got our soul education! |

No probs, I always give credit or the souce where I can I know what you mean about being credited with something, just the other day I posted some photos of Jay coming out of the Cuckoo Club and then in his Ford GT40 and amazingly it ends up on someone elses website less than 24 hours later with the credit of 'Google Alert' (which is bullcrap, as I found these myself) so it's annoying when you go to the effort and time to find something and then someone else just pops it on their website with absolutely no credit going to the person who did all the hard work - gggrrrrr
