The Azur Album
I´d like to let wou know that the azur album (the one that was made by Stu long time ago) is now ready to be downloaded from http://users.skynet.be/mossn/download.htm

I don´t like it. It´s one of the worst things I´ve listen in many time.

Bad? Why the hell is everyone complaining that its bad?
It might not be your kind of music, Stu had other influences than Jay, and at the time he made this record, he probably didnt even want to make anything sounding like Jamiroquai, since he didnt really want to have to do anything with it anymore...

The album might not be the most brilliant one in music history, but its certainly not a bad one. You just gotta see it in a different light. It's RnB, Soul, not Funk. And for an RnB/Soul album, its pretty good. Could have done well in the US market...

always seem to remind me is a lovely tune. my favorite must be said.

I think is just an awesome thing to get the album around, now that the jamiroquai scene has been a bit dry these few months... a glass of watter in the middle of dessert eh?

mate, uhhh, I don't know why you are having problems downloading (i downloaded last night as a matter of fact).
But, a little piece of advice: Download each song at a time, it worked for me. I had some troubles while downloading 2 songs at a time, but when I did one by one, it rolled perfectly.

Hi there,

Too many people tried to download the songs, and Yiddaquai's provider deleted the last 5 files (probably hosted on a free ISP).

David Rowe and I have uploaded the full album again on new servers, so it's all available again:
http://www.funkin.com/downloads/new/

(Please note that files are absolutely similar, so any broken download from Yiddaquai's site can be resumed here)

Cheers !

Trolll Wink

That Azurific album...
buffaloman_R Hello everyone, buffaloman_R

Hope everyone had a great weekend, mine was mostly spent enjoying new offerings from musical artists like Dizzee Rascal, Starsailor, Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Darkness and many other artists Very Happy. Anyhoo, MASSIVE THANKS TO TROLLL AND FUNKIN for hosting the AZUR album MP3s, they rock. Yeah, they may be unorthodox funk/jazz Jam fans are not used too, but still this AZUR stuff is so good I hate how they were abandoned by Stu. I think we fans should insist that this album get a proper release, this stuff did not deserve to be lightly brushed and dropped into the bin like it was. As for my fav songs, the album has a Prince flavor to me, I really like the tracks: AZUR (As You Are), Suddenly, & Love Is So Cold...the album also reminds me alot of the young Canadian R&B artist Remy Shand. Thanks again to Trolll and David for bringing this stuff up for download so all the fans can get a taste of what was on Stu's creative mind Wink. Peace and Enjoy the AZUR for you pleasure Smile!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

the great thing is that some jamirofans have shared the album with the rest of the comunity. If instead of Paz and the rest of the guys who found the songs it would be another person, like, uh, all that people who do not share the "hard to find stuff", we wouldn´t have had the oportunity of tasting Stuart stuff. Confused
What I mean is that if you have some strange song or video and somebody ask you for it, just don´t be so selfish and let the rest of the world enjoy it.

Is it selfish to not share something that you have been looking for, for a loooong long time, and I really mean looking and searching. And then finally you get it, and you know you are one out of, lets say, 20 people in the world who have it...then you would be acting like Jesus and sharing it with everyone who would like to hear it? I don't think so... And if you ever get in that situation, Im sure you wont either (and you'll probably say Im wrong, but hey, thats easy to say, and politically correct of course...).

It so easy to call someone selfish when you dont have anything yourself, isnt it?

Many thanks to funkin for posting AZUR on the internet. I'm happy to finally get to hear it. However, it's not my favorite music. The synthesized beats are not really helpful in this case, and I think Stu probably abandoned it because he felt it wouldn't live up to the work he had already done (i.e. Jamiroquai).

Some people may like this stuff and may not like Jamiroquai, so I'm not sure it's bad music we have here. But as a fan of Stu's earlier work, I'm kind of biased against the new stuff.

I thought this selfishness argument was over with! Let's all remember that this forum is a haven for good vibes... If someone is unwilling to share their stuff, that's his or her decision, and we should try to respect that.

Peace!

Funkie Junkie, I do have several jamiroquai files. Just for the record, in my country is almost impossible to find any jamiroquai odd stuff. Everytime I go to England I find some strange demo, or very old singles, some live concerts, etc... (even an Orenda jacket and a jamiroquai promo frishbey!).
Just becouse I live in a country where is impossible to find stuff (like the concert where Jay looses his voice and Wallis has to sign the rest of the tunes) I can´t have the chance of enjoying that stuff?
Confused
jamiroquai is about sharing.
So, yeah, I think that acting like that is just s-e-l-f-i-s-h

Bootlegs are not for sale man, at least not in stores. What I have got (and its not that much actually) is what I collected at the internet. And actually, Im just building up my real cd's collection...Im BUYING the singles of the internet. the real ones. As for the bootlegs, you just need to search for them. If someone is kind enough to share them, then I appriciate that, but I can also understand that people dont share certain things because it was so hard for them to get it. Its like buying an expensive cd and your friend asking if he can burn it over (though he doesnt pay anything). It just doesnt feel right either.

Currently at work on AZUR Lyrics transcription...
buffaloman_R Hello again, :bm_r:

Just pop in to let all of you know after listening the amazing music of AZUR, I have came up with the idea of transcribing the lyrics to all the songs! I might take some time, but I know my efforts will be appreciated! As a beginning here's the lyrics to the first song "Baby, I've Got To Know", ENJOY and more lyrics coming soon Wink:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*AZUR: "BABY, I GOT TO KNOW" Lyrics*
Transcribed by JamiroFan2000

We get down, maybe we can...get down
I gotta know, baby I got to know
Just let me know, honey just let me know
I want to know, darling, I got to know
Just let me know, baby I got to know
You meet outside, to hum for you and I
Heard your flesh out, score go high my eyes
It's been too hard, since my heartbeat falls above
Like you, baby boo, I wish we could get it on
Cold cool, I really get the feeling in your wishing that
your heart is spinning really well well
Sunshine like two bodies like they're boring me to get it on
(Chorus)
I gotta know, baby I got to know
Just let me know, honey just let me know
I want to know, darling, I got to know
Just let me know, baby I got to know
I take, my time, cause I know yours is fragile
Been hurt before, had to unlies
Don't worry, nope, to worry about things
I'll be, there for you, sweet sweet everyhing yeah
Cold cool, I really get the feeling in your wishing that
your heart is spinning really well well
Sunshine like two bodies like they're boring me to get it on
(Chorus 2X)
Ahh..
I'll be there for you
(Chorus 2X)
*end of lyrics*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There you go, enjoy them, and more lyrics coming soon Wink! Peace and take care!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
