Well done Deesh: wish I'd seen her face! And to you & Sam, thanks for your words... My friend has been heard from (this morning) so we know he's "ok" but still very worried as don't know where he is or why he took off.. . Someone doesn't just up & leave out of character without a reason...

Even though I've heard something like that actually HAS happened once. Laughing

This morning I am sad- I live in student housing and right now some are coming back from home for fall semester. Like Knjaz and Deesha, Im not the closest with fam and it can be weary to be solitary here. Apart from that had a neighbor over for chili and a talk Smile Last sat I went wake boarding as a first which was too much fun and very addictive. Ate alot of water. Smile Then theres this PAPER for this summer internship, the data isnt in yet and the prof had scheduled a power point pres this coming friday...Shocked

Today was my 18th Birthday, I had a party last Friday which was good. Its kinda wierd because I am not too fussed as I have too much school work to move through. My Chinese exchange student also comes in tommorow, I stayed with him in Beijing and now he is staying with me. Yay! Still busy, I wish this school year would just end.

I've just remembered two of the happiest days in my life:

* July 14th, 2006: The Arabic Cultural Centre (the place where I learn Arabic Dancing) repeated last year's show because many people couldn't get their tickets, and there were some changes, one of the was a new choreo that was included in the show. My two teachers danced it, and I swear it was the most beautiful, amazing, outstanding, unbelievable (inssert all the good adjectives you can imagine here) I've ever seen! Every time I remember this, I feel like I wanna cry T_T

* July 22nd, 2006 (I mean July 23rd, 2006 at 4 am Razz): I went to a disco for the first time in my life. Hardly any of my schoolmates ever entered at that disco because you have to be 21 and they ask for your ID card, and guess what? I could enter there!! (and I'm 17!). I went there with my Arabic Dancing teachers and some girls from the advanced level (I'm an intermediate) and I had so much fun! We celebrated the friend's day that way

They ask for ID? In Argentina? Seriously? Must be the only club in the country that does that...

I'm not taking the piss, though. I'd never been in a nightclub in my life before my first week at university - aged 19 1/2! Not even for an under-18s night. I've made up for that since, though. Good fun, isn't it?

no sam, remember this is argentina, everything is possible here! LOL
at least in BA, there are a lot of bars and night clubs where under 18 people can go without being asked for id.. i used to go to that places until some moths ago when i turned 18! Razz Razz

Yep, that's what I meant. It's unusual that the bar Funkilo went into was asking for ID. Wink

Random Thought...

I have this recurring dream or goal for the future that I hope one day will come true.

I'd like to have an all day festival to raise money for HIV/AIDS with the following acts:

A Tribe Called Quest
Jamiroquai
Jamie Lidell
Jamie Cullum
The Roots
Fiona Apple

Have booths set up for testing, information, rides, games, all that stuff...

I think about this all the time..How I can make it work. Cover Your Lover will be an official charity with the government in 2007 (long process), so then I can start getting funding and sponsorship, so maybe in a few years time. If only I had the power or ear of Bono!! Wink

Dreams, dreams, dreams...Heart

Deesh - if it's any help, I have a feeling I could get a certain DJ to play the funk tent! Wink
