Holiday/Vacation Thread
Hi guys! I'm leaving today for a two-weeks-holiday in Sicily so that's my goodbye to you here, CU all after august the 15th. Will sure show you some pictures when I get back.

Try not to share too many bootlegs while I'm away otherwise I'll get mad at my return just to get synchronized with all the jmq-stuff Laughing ...just joking! Wink

So ... summer is hot, take your time and have a bit of relax! (as many of you done at the lovebox weekender...I'm very sad for having missed it, has been a great opportunity to party and feeling part of that great jamily)

so ... The topic is: what 'll you do this summer? Cool

Arrow Bye!!!

Hi everybody,

Just wanna say in this thread that I'm going on holidays to France and Spain for three weeks. I'll leave tomorrow (sunday) morning, so I won't be here reading, posting, chatting and answering questions.

Hope you will enjoy the coming month Wink And I hope to see some special downloads when I'm back.

Take care,

Jeroen // LLCoolJR.

I really envy you guys. It's almost unheard of for someone in the U.S. to go on vacation or holiday for 3 weeks... no work, no school. It sounds awesome, but you gotta be pretty rich or live cheap to vacation for that long. It is pretty cool that you guys get to do that, and that it's "normal" to do that in Europe. I envy you guys.

not true pete - just live smart and constantly search for deals...sign up for all the travel sites emails, you'll be amazed at what comes your way (the first london airfare was soooo cheap). be a member of all the flight clubs that are free - they rack up before you know it. utilize your skills - i had a place that wanted me to work in london for 2 days in exchange for lodging..i didn't do it because it was an uncomfy situation.

if going on vacation, search around for groups at travel agencies that are going to. most likely, they need 2 - 3 people to complete their group to get a discount and if you join their group, you'll get that discount. this is how my grandparents travel everywhere (i'm sitting in their travel office now). you don't have to know or hang with the people, just wear a tshirt and take a picture at the airport for the sponsoring company.

also, vacationing with friends to share costs, and going to countries where you have friends so you don't have to pay for lodging. also going on vacations over the normal holidays like memorial day, labor day, etc....that way you don't have to take off of work so much. doing overtime to get extra days - please..i am the scam master of getting time off!

plus, in philly - we have lots of visitors so there is always european students looking to swap houses. i've never done this, but friends have and if you are trustworthy and don't own a lot of sh*t worth stealing, then go for that too. craigslist is great for those type of things.

i do not make a lot of money (well, i make enough to live), it just so happened that i planned very well to afford the 2 europe trips this year - also work 3 jobs and took a class at school.

if you want something....you'll make it happen.

enjoy your vacations guys and take pictures..it feels so good to not have responsibilities really for sometime and to not have access to a computer and cell phone! Smile

I know how to get bargains, but I'm talkin about the "3 weeks" part of it... You don't see people get breaks for that long around here.

But yeah guys, enjoy your time off.

I've been in Majorca, Balearic Islands (Spain) the whole month of July, I had an amazing time, it was wonderful, I saw many beautiful places and I've been with my friends and my boyfriend. I can't wait to come back again!! (I'll be back in march or april, lol)
And then, in this month of August, I'll have to study loads and loads.. so, that was my holidays Laughing

Well, better start practicing the aussie slang then ... so they can hear you're an original aussie and no tourist Mr. Green

have fun with your holidays everyone, there will be no real holiday for me this year (besides a little bike trip to Luxemburg) but I'm planning to go on a skitrip early next year. I haven't been skiing in the last 6 or 7 years and it's really starting to itch ...
